I can't take anything he takes seriously after questioning Shumpert of the defensive end.

You can't take a lot of these guys seriously...They don't watch the games...I remember reading something in Yahoo Sports about the Knicks and the sequence of events of game play written by the writer was wrong...But it was the exact same wrong sequence written on another website...They cope each other...

Charles is not about serious evaluation, he is "entertainment".

They guy is a "basketball celebrity" who if not taken seriously brings levity to the round table.

Don't knock him too much, you never know when Bill Walton comes back and takes his chair!

I think he's well off the mark with the Nets. They have a nice team but the Knicks are definitely better.

I like Barkley, even when he's ripping the Knicks. The guy says what's on his mind, and he doesn't care who's listening. It's refreshing. Now he's eating crow, but at least he admits it.

Reminder, I said I was an NY Net fan of the ABA.

I don't promote N*ts anywhere but we all talk about other teams. In off season some lovers spoke as if 35 years of being losers in Jersey matter. I spoke that there roster was not about last years team and they would be good and take a while to come together.

Its a long season, lets see the standings at seasons end. ITs not about who gets the last laugh, its about who has the better record/seeding.

Im not in the closet, I got 8 years years and lifetime knick fan.

I can tell you all about the 1974-76 ABA Championship Nets with DR. J and a lot of Knick history at the same time.

Reminder, the Jersey Nets were dead to me. Im happy nets are in Brooklyn. How about I term them "a Team of Interest of Nalod's"?

I live in the Carolina's and Hornets were "a team of interest". The early Moruning/LJ combo was potentially awesome! I have had Bobcat tickets in the past.

I will visit brooklyn and attend a Net game! So will many of you too at some point. Don't mean you change your stripes.

If I ever do, I'll be gone. I'll write my manifesto to the scorne of lovers and slip into the Gowanus quietly into the night.

Sign of the apocalypse, Barkley saying nice things about the Knicks! I was watching the Spurs game on league pass with the spurs crew doing commentary and Sean Elliot was expressing doubts early in the game about whether or not the Knicks were for real but by the end of the game said more than once that they were the real deal. Nice to hear the Knicks getting props.

Barkleys there because of his sense of humor and to provoke responses- he isn't really there as a basketball analysis (you only had to watch his season previews to realise he watches very little basketball), if you realise that, you won't get so wound up when he bashes the Knicks.

funny thing is, I was defending shumpert on here the other day , because some poster felt his defense was overrated.. go figure...

Barkley is entertainment for sure, but he has liked the nets from the start it seems... this is nothing new, he doesn't respect the knicks... he is not the first or only one..

nets are 5-2, they are just 1.5 games behind us despite our great start, they are no slouch either.. I love competition.....

whoever said shump is overrated is an idiot. Shump was one of the top perimeter defensive players in the game last year and he was only a rookie

while I agree with you 100% about the idiot part, I don't want to name call a poster, just really not my style unless I lose my cool which means I need to step back off the computer...

but yes, I was making that same argument.. dude received 3rd place votes for dpoy award.. an award that is based a lot on reputation as well, to me that is a huge deal, I like his potential on both sides of the ball and for me, I would like the knicks to land a nice young talented PG to pair with him as we transition into the future...

for the record, he received more votes than wade who is considered one of the best defenders in the league...

Funny Stuff

I don't care what Barkley says, he's more entertainment than anything else on Inside The NBA. He can be in tune when he's serious or in one on one interviews. Nevertheless they made him fess up last night. Especially Kenny although I felt Kenny was kind of being slightly hypocritical.

Tyson Chandler won DPOY last season. I'm pretty sure that automatically makes him the best defender on the team.

Have you watched Tyson Chandler this year? Does he look liked a defensive player of the year, plus as far as one one defense Shump is far more impressive considering he was guarding Point guards, shooting guards and small forwards last year .
