Not to turn this into another Lin thread (or discussion for that matter) but just an observation from watching the Knicks-Spurs game. Had a chance to listen to the Spurs announcers tonight (NBA League Pass) and walked away very impressed. Really refreshing. Night and day when compared to Orlando's announcers. Very professional is how I'd explain San Antonio's announcers. They announce as if they've been there before, and really talk about the game of basketball. They talked up the Knicks during the entire game, even called out both Duncan and Melo as superstars. It's interesting, because those guys call each and every Spurs game. Are lucky enough to call games with Parker running the point. Championship winning team(s). And they even went out of their way, as Felton was doing his thing, to mention how Felton has already proven that he's the much better NBA PG when compared to Jeremy Lin, followed by talking up our front office in regards to going the dirrection of Felton when in comparison to overpaying for an inexperienced Jeremy Lin.
Felton just went 10/20 from the field (2/4 from beyond the arc) while putting up 25 points, 7 assists along with 3 boards and only 2 turnovers. Against a Tony Parker led Spurs team. But truth be told, long time Felton supporters aren't shocked the slightest. The man put up an average of 17.1 points, 9 assists, 3.6 boards and 1.8 steals during our postseason push of 2010-2011. I wouldn't consider 54 starts/54 games as being a small sample size either.
