I'm real curious about Memphis... I wonder how effective Melo will be as a 4 against them. If he can handle Memphis then I think he's no longer a SF

I bet he doesn't play the four and is moved back to the three.

Knicks are going off a really good start for the season but I just can't help imagining Lin was still part of the squad. It's just so weird seeing him in a Rockets jersey.

Yeah well, I don't care about money. I'm not that hungry for it. Give me a little of it and I'll be happy. Money is the root of all evil.

Well I like my point guard not being a turn style on defense.

For now, Knicks fans are allowed to be happy. It is not just that they have won these first four the way they have. It is the way they have looked. Like a good, smart, tough, unselfish team. It is an incredibly small sampling. But you really know what you like about the Knicks so far?

Everything.

I know! All those years of him wearing a Knick jersey, its going to be tough. All the great playoff games he helped us win...that one year he carried us to the finals as an 8 seed, remember that?!. The classic rivalry he had between D.Williams.

What about the time he head butted Chalmers?? "The DUNK" against Bargnani and DeRozan? Too bad he missed that finger roll against Boston that would have advanced us in the playoffs (He should have dunked it) but what a great run and we wouldn't have had a chance without him!

If he was still here we would be 5-0 because he would made that Nets game happen..thats how magical Lin is! Man, do I miss him. [/tears]

Oh man. You just pumped me up! I need to watch a Rocket game now to see how it would feel. But then again, I just don't care.

It's weird seeing him in a Rockets jersey because who would have guessed he wouldn't be playing with Knicks this season. It's crazy how things can take a left turn all of a sudden.

A few months ago, if you were to say "Lin and Harden" will be teammates next season, everyone would call you crazy. These guys were the budding stars of their team. No way are they going to get traded and end up on the same team.

Well, and here we are: Lin and Harden are teammates.

And who would have guessed that PHIL JACKSON is going to coach the LAKERS again. That one came out of left field. At the start of pre-season, the idea of Phil Jackson coaching Lakers never crossed anyone's mind.

He was a Rocket before they waived him last year.

It does feel great, but just like having great sex, you need to watchout for STDs. I don't think our team is legit playoff team yet, needs to see the chemistry of the team work during playoffs. Regular season.. I haven't known any decent basketball fans that care much about regular season...

JamesLin - real basketball fans care about every game and watch for nuance, not just end results on a scoreboard.

As a student of the playoffs, would you consider that a style of play that emphasizes protecting the basketball, limiting turnovers to a bare minimum and that plays solid defense is a team constructed exactly the right way for the second season?

The regular season is four games old and there are encouraging signs earlier than EVER seen before.

We are off to a good start that can be built on.

Reality Check is that I've watched so many Knicks games over the years, even when we do get a good start, even when we do get to a good first half season, we always end up having troubles second half, or later down the season. We were at our best TWICE being 8th seed. I'm just saying, don't hype the regular season. Take it from a guy watching Knicks playing for over 36 years.

The Knicks haven't started 4 - 0 since '93 - '94. This is not the norm.

This feels great!!!!!
