There's literally no chance that Cleveland allows Kryie to leave.

Except, unless Kyrie accepts the one year qualifying offer from Cleveland in the Summer of 2015 he'll be a restricted free agent and Cleveland can and will match any offer for him. If he does accept the qualifying offer then he won't be an unrestricted free agent until the Summer of 2016. In order to sign him we'd basically have to throw away the 2015-16 season in order to keep the cap space necessary to sign him.

untrue--what if Cablevision acquires Quicken Loans? Or Dolan beats Gilbert in a crazy game of poker? Kyrie Irving is awesome and if we're going to dream it might as well be big

Since when did Jeremy Lin become a PG? He's an undersized SG that plays PG. Therefore, not only is Felton a better PG, but also Kidd and Pablo.

The question (if anybody cares) who would be the better guard. I've said this years ago, the NBA will eventually do away with PG's and Center....It's going to be a league of Guards and Forwards. No center position in the All Star game is just a start.

Right now, I think it's close. The advanced stats have Lin with a small edge. Lin has more upside and I have more faith in him to stay in good shape over the duration of the contract, though. If we could do a straight up Lin-Felton trade, I'd still do it.

I see your point, but do you have more faith in him staying healthy, considering his already injured knee and the fact that he takes a beating when going to the rim?

No one knows but it's just one injury and he appears fully recovered. It's not like he had microfracture surgery or is bone on bone. A meniscus tear is pretty common.

houston has been using him a bit different, he is picking his spots.. he hits the floor a lot less... the thing with lin is his handle, that is what he should be working on all summer.. if that improves drastically, I can see him as one of the top PG's in the league... he has great size, good explosion and good vision, his jumper is also getting better...

Haven't caught any Rockets games yet, but I'm noticing his shot attempts are way down from last year. Are they not using him in PNR? Lin's whole game is predicated on attacking the rim, to take that away does not seem like a wise move. If he's not running PNR, then his lack of handles will expose him even more. He's a PNR guard at this point in his career.

I have seen a few games..They are running PnR...The league has adjusted...They are not allowing him to attack the rim from the right side...He likes to run down the right side of the paint to the rim...They have also adjusted on Harden...It's a little different when there is a book on you...He is also working hard for every shot..It hard for him to get to the rim and finish under control...

Can people use the teammates(supporting class) excuse for Lin? I mean last year during Linsanity was his surrounding talent better than whats in Houston? I like Lin but I am not sure he has this amazing upside. It may be just an avg upside but paired correctly sometimes all you need is avg to slightly above players.

Papabear Says

Felton is stronger and more dorable than Lin. Lin and Melo really can not play on the same team together. Lin going to Houston was good for Him. Felton is a New York Knicks guy. It wasn't about the money. Felton just wanted to be a knick, Melo has more respect for Felton.

Any guesses as to who's averaging more turnovers - Lin or Felton?

no reason to guess- you can look. Lin is 2.7 to felton at 2.8 - I think that will switch or be very close on a per minute basis.

I still think Lin has more upside. He may not realize it, but there is upside for Lin.

Yeah, I was playfully bringing it up since Lin gets trashed by some here for his turnovers. Per 36 minutes, it's Felton 3.2 and Lin 2.8 so far.
