To counter the Black and white, knicks seem to be going full color!

This for weekend home games and holidays. They calling them "winter league jersey"

Let the people speak!

Love them!!!
Hate them!!!
Anything but those awful "KryptoNate" Green Alternatives!
Melo washed his home whites with his 'Cuse wear and this is the result!
If we had gotten Nash and Kept MDA, the PHX effect would be complete!
KNicks look like Cheetos!

Knicks dominant color has always been orange, so it's fitting that they would finally come around and go All Orange.

When you see a Knicks logo in the background of an NBATv telecast, you notice the orange first. It's what the team is known for, the dominant color, so I'm happy that they chose to honor it and go All Orange.

Also, Melo = Syracuse = New York = Knicks. Fitting.

I like them! Hope they stick - but hope next season they fill in the lettering/numbers full blue (or even white).
Used to love those orange reverse jerseys you used to see in the stands.

Those jerseys are TERRIBLE.

Besides, they are just copying what the Heat are doing, one more reason to dislike those...

"Because the NBA wants teams to wear their home uniform as much as possible, teams are allowed to wear their alternate uniform only twice at home during the regular season."

I thought the Knicks would be using those ugly jerseys at every home weekend games after Xmas...

Eww, the only way a team can pull off black and orange is if their name is tiger related.

Silly.

All that orange is going to distract Knicks players as well as their opponents. What are they, "Construction Zone" cone now?

I always wanted an orange Knick uniform but this is hideous, you have to put some blue and white in the uniform, orange on orange really really?
No layups!

Matt4281 - excellent research. At least yours has some contrast.

The all orange is an insult to the Knicks tradition of celebrating New York. The alternate could have employed the "Subway Token" logo on the front, not unlike the classic San Francisco Warriors jersey with "The City" and Golden Gate Bridge.

Just blinding us with all orange is creatively lazy and hurts the eyes.

The best thing about them is that they will act like the invisibility cloak from Predator when our players stand in the orange paint areas of our home court- should enhance our defense no end.

I do actually quite like them, though maybe because anything would seem better than those terrible green uni's. Can anyone photoshop it to see what it would be like with solid blue writing and blue sleeves?

The Ugly Side of Knicks Christmas Day

The NBA just issued a press release along with Adidas to announce that Christmas Day national TV games will be where you will see the “big color” uniforms. For the Knicks, that means that orange thing you’ve seen flying around the internet, paired with Iman Shumpert’s hair. Look it up.

Here’s the release:

NBA AND ADIDAS TO UNVEIL “BIG COLOR” UNIFORMS FOR
CHRISTMAS DAY GAMES
- First-Ever Holiday Uniforms Featuring Bold Color to Be Worn By All 10 Teams Competing on Dec. 25-

NEW YORK (November 12, 2012) – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and its official oncourt apparel partner adidas will celebrate 65 years of Christmas Day games in a BIG way with the unveiling of special “BIG Color” uniforms that all 10 teams will wear on Dec. 25.

“I grew up watching games on Christmas Day and it’s a huge honor to have your team play in front of millions around the world,” said All-NBA center Dwight Howard of the Los Angeles Lakers. “I’m excited to wear these BIG Color uniforms that bring style and flare to the court and represent my team!”

The uniforms feature a monochromatic color scheme with solid color team logos, names, and numbers framed with minimal accent color and a shimmer finish for a bold statement.

“We worked with adidas to amplify our long-standing tradition of playing on Christmas Day,” said NBA Executive Vice President Global Merchandising Sal LaRocca. “BIG Color gives our players an enhanced look on the court and highlights one of the most visible dates during our season with a new and exciting range of products.”

BIG Color jerseys are part of the adidas Winter Court Collection, which also includes new warm-up jackets and shooting shirts. The jackets feature a tricot liner for comfort and team accent colors around the team logo and name while the shooting shirt features the team practice logo on the front in accent colors. Fans can purchase the Winter Court Collection for all NBA teams at NBAStore.com, the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City, Champs Sports, and team retailers on Nov. 15.

Basically, I think they look good when there's a high contrast between the main colour and the writing; White on a dark colour works beautifully, but blue on orange hurts my eyes

These Green Sp_its NJ (er' I mean Brooklyn) Nets will be wearing alternative roads,
still think plain Celtics greenies are better they debut already.

But I'll say the green NETs uniforms dont look as cheap as the original black and white with them tiney winey letters of b-r-o-o-k-l-y-n

Well...if you're going to make a statement, orange would be the way to go. Whoever said they should have made the blue lettering a bit thicker on the front was right. The relative size of the letters vs the numbers make letters fade. The back of the jersey stands out more than the front.

Overall it screams "Caution: Men At Work." lol It's really orange but it's hard to judge the shade based on that picture and the shots of Iman. There's a good chance they might look a bit darker when they actually wear them at the garden under normal lighting instead of against the white background.

The Nets, Rockets (looks like it's inside out) and Dallas unis are so drab and boring....I would rank the orange over all of those. The Celtics jersey doesn't look different enough.

The Bulls jersey is pretty nice. I like the Bulls, Lakers and Knicks the most.
