This is what happens when you add very efficient offensive players. I predicted 49 wins but I probably underestimated the team.

We are passing the ball good which I love. The spot up shooters are awaiting at the three point line which creates more room for the drivers to have running lanes.

Damaged AND Motivated

1. We have a team of grown ass men.

2. Three who been there (playoffs) and three more who done that (Kidd, Chandler, Sheed with championship rings/ Kidd, Melo and Chandler with Olympic gold)

3. Our coach demands the same defensive effort from everyone. Melo got the memo.

4. Better not mess with us. Old ass men do not ever back down.

5. Marcus Camby and Iman Shumpert also know defense. We must protect the rim.

Grunwald - ya did good.

I've said it before and I will keep saying it loud: WOODSON MAKES PLAYERS BETTER, or probably more accurate, players who Play for Woodson become better. With the possible exception of Chandler and KIdd, almost everyone seem to be playing at a higher level than previously seen.

Melo...Showing true leadership and playing on Both sides of the ball.

Brewer....3pointers (need I say more)

JR Smith....the boy seems to have become a man. Showing poise, responsibility while filling up the stat sheets.

Felton....His defense was "good" first time around but, it seems even better. Dude just seems ferocious out there.

Novak....has added another wrinkle to his offensive game with the side step and his defense has improved.

The Woodson effect is in full Bloom in New Yorks most famous Garden and I hope it continues.

I meant this! No downer, I watch the games and enjoying the hell of it. Im not on the roof top shouting it to the world and am amused by the over dramatic POSITIVE response. Y'all celebrate anyway you want. All kinds of happy is a good thing.

At the same time, if they lose three in a row you won't see me at the ledge of the rooftop pleading for the team to tank either.

So I look up, see some of you with chests out and proud as a peacock and I salute you!

WE are all Damaged if we are knick fans for the last 40 years!

Sorry I did not put a to some of my posts.

nalod - I attended my first Knicks game at the old Garden in 1965 and in no way do I feel damaged.

The guards were Johnny Green and Howard Komives

Heck, they may have sucked for years but, I in no way feel like a damaged fan. I think guys take this way to seriously. Teams have ups and downs, some streaks run longer than others but, it always turns around. The Clippers are proof of that.

I remember the days of mediocrity and I remember The Ewing era quite clearly. Even when things were at their worst, I still found enjoyment in many of the games. The Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley Era to me was the worst but, I thoroughly enjoyed most of the Marbury and the Gallo era.

Yes Knicks defense was really good so far. Look at the possibility to improve with Camby and Shumpert getting some minutes here and there . Rasheed looked as good as possible for a guy who has not played in2 years--Im sure he is hurting today! We should be able to keep everyone healthy with reduced minutes and a longer rotation. The Knicks are 3-0 with three blowouts--last night was a 35 point reversal--and we have Stoudemire Camby and Shumpert in the the bullpen for help injury etc.. The team is improved at PG team IQ bench depth length--its a good team

Good team full of tough players that know how to play and have high basketball IQ's and more importantly high DEFENSIVE IQ's. I can't tell you how frustrating it was under MDA watching this team look clueless on defense and prior to Chandler coming here, allowing anyone to get to the rim unopposed. We are going to be a gritty defensive team, but one that can also score with the best of them. Just hope we stay healthy. We are built for playoff basketball. So excited.

I like this team! I like winning!

I like beating the living crap out of teams on D!

We are smart! We are wizened! We have Rasheed easily blocking punks coming to the rim! GET that sheehit outta here, son!

We have JR to rub sheehit in people's faces, just in case they don't realize they are down by 20 at the end of the game!

Gallo who? There was someone else named Chandler? WTF is a Moz? D-LessDlee?

All Die hard knick fans are damaged in some form. Otherwise we'd defect. Most long term suffering for championship fans are this way. Cub and Redsox fans waited lifetimes. WE at least have one!

I did not get to my first game until 1971 so you got me.

But give me some credit, I had Johnny Green as one of my top 25 knicks and do know he was about 38 or 39 at the time you saw him!

Back then witout all the surgery technique we have now, that was truely a medical marvel for a basketball player to have that long a career! He was genetically gifted!

On paper that was a good team. Pre Cazzie but you had Bell's and Willis at the power position! I never saw in prime willis play but before the knees bogged him down I have read he was flyer like Dice was very quick. I think most fans don't really appreciate how great Willis was before the championship years!

Or how Bradley struggled at the 2 his rookie year!

Defecting is for cowards. I grew up with Pat Cummings, Rory Sparrow, Eddie Lee Wilkins, and Louis Orr.

Disgruntled, dismayed, and disappointed through the 80s yes. Few flashes here and there, until the Ewing and 90s era brought some near glory.

2000s were traumatic as they come...still bled Orange and Blue through the scandal and jokes.

Never ever damaged. I grew up with the Knicks, rooted for the Knicks when they sucked. Makes it even sweeter, as they turn the corner now.

We have 2 or 3 years to chase that chip...Enjoy it!
