![]() Wow, all this weeping and gnashing of teeth after Lin scores 12 points against the Pistons. When he has a 20 point game, it's going to be Thorazine ****tails for everyone.

![]() I really wanted our dunce of an owner to re-sign Lin just as much as anyone. BUT, he is no longer a Knick, so I'm sorry, I cant bring myself to get happy for an ex-Knick.

![]() You can be happy for him, however, he still has not remotely justified all the whining and gift proclamations through pre-season and the first game last night. LoL!

Or the happy for Toney Douglas threads? He played last night too. |

![]() The fun part of last year was watching Lin as Knicks. If anything, he just made every game fun to watch. Admit it, you all thought the same. It was fun to see Novak and Chandler and the rest of the Knicks bench go crazy after every crazy Lin shots. For a moment there, you really felt team chemistry. You felt they all loved who this guy was as their teammate.
Just imagine as a bench player on the Lakers watching Kobe score 30 + points every single game. As a member of his squad, his teammates all expected that sort of thing from him. There were no surprises at all. And now imagine yourself as a Knicks and watching your fellow unknown player go nuts out of the blue and especially during a moment of crisis where he rally his team back from a losing record. It was fun. People sought out Knicks game on the internet just to watch Lin play. Do you think people would do that for Melo? No, because they'll just catch his usual highlight on ESPN or NBA.Com. Now that Harden and Lin are teammates, the Rockets are sure as hell fun to watch now. |

It was fun to see Novak and Chandler and the rest of the Knicks bench go crazy after every crazy Lin shots. For a moment there, you really felt team chemistry. You felt they all loved who this guy was as their teammate. You said that very very well. It is hard to describe what Lin meant to this franchise. No, he isn't a top tier player stat wise, but the kid was just special. I take the special player - they don't come around that often. I would much much much rather watch Lin play than Melo or any other current Knick player. I think this was a bit of the problem, Melo's team was becoming Lins team. This wasn't about the money considering Lin would have made the team more than he would have cost it, this was partly about control. The most popular guy on the team, wasn't the 20 + 22 + 23 million dollar Stat or Melo, it would have been the 5 + 5 + 15 million dollar Lin. And that didn't sit well with some... Well, I can watch the Knicks games but like a lot of you guys I will be tuning into more Rockets games (as will many basketball fans who tuned into watching Lin here last year.) You are all caught up on points, very Meloesque. Let your eyes be the judge. Lin helped us win, pure and simple. He had the highest +- Houstons first game, which was a win, just like he often had here in NY. I take the win over the stats, every day of the weak. Enjoy Melos great stats this year, somehow I don't think it will improve our chances to a championship, though we can hope. Miami won the championship and you are highlighting one game, his worst. Throw into the equation all the other games where he helped turn the team around. We will all be watching that next Miami game... See, if you dislike something your team does or has done, you can speak out about it. You don't have to leave the team nor should you have to. Just like if you dislike something about your country you can try to change it, you don't have to leave. Where would that type of ideology have gotten us? Remember, sports is a business (not to mention a huge distraction) and owners will listen when it affects their bottom line. What you see here is just a typical reflection of the fan base.
