Pure speculation but I believe Brandon Jennings and Drew Gooden will be Knicks by the deadline.

YUUUUUUUCKKKK

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I can't believe I read the whole damn thing. Stephen A. Smith is an idiot. He is sounding like a Melo apologist now. Laying the ground work for excuses. This team does not end with Amare and the PF spot. This team needs the PG spot to deliver. Amare was oft-injured last year and they won when he was out with great PG play. Grunwald needs to trade for a PF right now. One that can rebound and defend. Unfortunately, Knicks don't have anybody they can trade until Dec or Jan. Camby, KT and Rasheed need to hold down to fort until we can trade our tradeable assets around Dec and Jan.

I--like you--have the luxury of working form home these days. I usually turn Mike and Mike In the Morning on and listen to that from 7 to 10 on ESPN 2... whenever Skip Clueless and Screamin A. come on the air, I change the channel. I listened at first, because I'm lazy, and didn't want to go change the channel. They are so bad I now *jump* out of my chair to go change the channel. I place little value on anything either of them says. It truly is absurd. Unfortunately they let Screamin A. be on the NY airwaves, so his name pops up everywhere just like a weed

Core of the deal would be

Jennings and Gooden
For
Shumpert, Felton, Novak, and picks

The new CBA makes it impossible for teams over that cap to do sign and trades. Therefore the trade market for Jennings is non existent after the deadline. Any team with cap space to sign him will just sign him to an offer sheet.

Jennings wants a larger market and Milwaukee is not a free agent destination. They will only get guys by trading for guys under contract for multiple years, overpaying, or drafting a star.

We literally have no picks to give. Like literally. I agree Jennings is a goner if they surely have a bad year. There's a chance he stays if things go well, although I see him moved at the deadline if not by December 15th.

Hammonds/Skiles/Monta/Jennings staring lame duck in the face.

Where would he go? He's not going anywhere.

Clippers to be with Paul, Houston, Dallas, ATL, Lakers to replace Kobe, Nets if the make room, just to name a few..

Too late, even if Melo leave, our future picks are going to other teams, so what's the point now?

That is why this team is going to get revamped for better or worse. Knicks cant afford to lose Melo.

Without Melo we get to perpetuate for eternity that it was a bad trade.

After all, its more satisfying to be "right" than anything else!

Without Melo Houston would have A top 5 pick in last years draft from the Knicks. Maybe they turn that into a package for Howard.

I don't understand your point, Melo wants to win a ring to validate his status as a top player..Why is it too late for him to opt out if he thinks the Knicks are hopeless because they are saddled with Amare's contract and Chandler who is making close to max but can't help...What would prevent him from seeking to team up with another star??

Those who think Melo wont leave in 2014 need to look at the Clippers salary cap space that summer.

Griffin, Melo, and Paul in Los Angeles.

If KNicks trade away the pick does it matter if its a top pick or not? Its not ours anymore.

Gone.

What we do know is the team was about .500 before melo and the same after.

The rest has been argued many times.

But when the pick is gone its gone.

Do we really need to play up so our traded picks don't embarass us further?

If that pick went top 5 and the Rockets used it to get Howard the McGrady trade would go down as the worst in nba history.
