Damn. Feel bad for Stat. Been a tough few years.

But, this is why you don't let Lin go. This is what we have been saying. To go against the Elite teams you need a big 3. We have a big 2 and 1 of them is often injured. Perhaps Copeland steps his game up to get those points back.

Not the end of the world but this is the kind of bull**** we get from kNicks. "bruised knee" and then we find its something else.

But you know whats gonna happen next, in 3 weeks they'll announce his is having "other" problems stringing along ticket sales and advertisers until january when he has season ending surgery.

Other teams go thru this and other players as well but its like one "mistruth" after another until you lose faith in any form of communications form the knicks.

Get well soon Amare!

I think Amare being out of the starting lineup actually works out for us. There's been little evidence that he and Melo can play together and even less that Amare, Melo, and Tyson can play together. Moving, I would hope, Novak into the starting lineup and Amare to the bench would make us a better team.

Beyond frustrating. Feel bad for Amar'e after he put in so much work over the offseason to be in peak shape- now he'll be grounded for 2 to 3 weeks which will undo all the conditioning.

Hmm, looks like no full preseason to get used to playing with Melo and Tyson.

Hmpf, I'd be tempted to say bring him off the bench (he would be an absolute killer in that role) but who the heck would we start in his place? Also wouldn't alter the fact that he and Melo and Tyson need to figure out how to play together as they'll be on the court at the end of games.

Hope Amar'e has a speedy recovery and this doesn't derail his season.

Also how do players get cysts on their knees? Are they common? Once theyve burst is hat them gone or do they cause problems later? Didn't Baron Davis have one that he claimed stopped him in previous seasons from training?

Uh oh, just read a bit about it here:

http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Baker's-Cyst.htm

The worrying bit is:

It most commonly occurs if there is an underlying problem with your knee such as osteoarthritis.

i dont think they can play together. they both excel when they are apart. i mean miami took about 20 games and then they had chemistry. Melo and Amare have still had plenty of time. Hopefully Woody will move amare to the bench which will help our team better in my opinion

Duh!! He has a knee problem? Really?

Worst knick move the past 5 years:

1. signing Amare
2. did not amnesty amare (I know, chandler blah blah blah) - was not worth it

I'm sure that will be on the agenda next offseason. Then we will hear about it all summer like with Hakeem and how he is looking forward to a full training camp with the team for the 1st time

Can also be a sign of a meniscus tear- guess that's why he is on route to NY so they can investigate if there is an underlying issue, or if its just a cyst (some of them have no underlying issues). Not good.

We can tear it up in the regular season without Amare in the starting lineup. But for this team to go anywhere in the playoffs, we are going to need more punch, consistent punch. That is the problem. My hope now is that perhaps Camby gets more minutes and him and Chandler make us a defensive force. Then we don't miss stat as much. But again, once the playoffs come, we will need another scorer. I am curious about Copeland...

One of the reasons I've been calling for him to come off the bench is so he's hopefully healthier come playoff time.

Imagine if we had resigned Lin too.

We'd have two injured players.
