Copelands play vs boston reserved him a spot on the team. But lets not go overboard. He finished well at the rim due to passes from prigoni. I think much of his success last nite was due to prigoni passes and playing against a 2nd team. I dont expect hell get alot of playing time
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

So he's a second teamer playing well against 2nd teams? Isn't that what you would be hoping for?

As a Knick fan, I mean.

He'd be the 15th man- what do you expect from a 15th man? If the 15th man on your roster is actually pretty talented, then they'll disrupt chemistry by complaining when they're not playing. Copeland looks like he'd be okay as a 15th man- he's hard working, good attitude and can score off the pick and roll. He's meant to be an okay shooter too.

Lower your expectations on what is needed for a 15th man, and give him the whole preseason to show what he can and can't do.

As for the Knicks, I think Shump and JR are capable of playing minutes at SF and so is Brewer.

And Kidd has said he can play the SF spot, and I think White could too. Really it's PF we need, and Copeland looks okay in that role.

Copeland would be a quick PF which could work against certain teams. Sheed doesnt look like he is anywhere near ready. I dont think he has even scrimmaged yet

Jrod - totally agree. Makes a lot of sense.

Actually, it is our 3rd or 4th string PF (Copeland) playing with our 3rd string PG (Prigioni) and our other bench players against the Celtics bench and Copeland dominated. He looks a little awkward at times; even his shot is awkward; but he puts the ball in the basket at a high percentage. And that's what counts.

I missed all but the last minute of tonights game but watching the highlights it appears Cope has made the team. The Knicks Euro scouts deserve a lot of credit. Pablo and Cope both are keepers and were great finds for a team that definitely has to acquire players in non traditional ways because of their cap and draft pick situation.

Is he winning either of you two over? He seems like a hard worker and has a good attitude so I'm glad he's managed to show something in preseason. Definitely earned the last roster spot, hope he can show us something in the regular season if we ever need him.

I agree, but I'd also add James White to that list too- he hasn't played much or been amazing or anything, but he's shown a few glimpses of being a solid player capable of covering when players are injured. I get the feeling he's holding back a bit- haven't really seen any of his famous athleticism, though maybe that's due to the hamstring.

3 nice pickups to round off the roster, and all for the minimum salary.

I like White. Don't know what it is since he hasn't done that much, he just seems like he has something and can grow it. He seems athletic, heady, and unselfish.

not really, I do admire that he is sticking with his dream trying to make the NBA, I wish him success and hopes he makes it, real talk, but last night when the celts put jeff green on him, I saw a lot of shot attempts from copeland that just were not NBA quality attempts.. the guy is good enough to score when teams are not paying any attention... he should make the team, but not sure if he cracks the rotation...

Copeland is a bench player but he can put the ball in the basket.

Knicks are going to have a hard time scoring when Melo sits. Plus White has underwhelmed.

From what I have seen, he is a decent bench / hustle type player. Nothing special. Time will tell. This is only pre-season.

One word descriptions without any substance a put the writer on display, not the player. The 6'9 Copeland, with his nonstop motor, could gracefully slide into the rotation behind Kurt Thomas. Can we re-hire Hakeem for a crash course?

Jordan Hill has left the building. Mike Woodson has a week to change the shiftlines which start the season.

Please make certain your seat belts are securely fastened. We are about to take off.

Maybe Copeland can do his best Amare impersonation minus the injuries?

Q. ChuckBuck - Maybe Copeland can do his best Amare impersonation minus the injuries?

A. Personally, I would settle for a reasonable facsimile of Glen "Big Baby" Davis.
