Lost on many is the effect that a multi year contract can do. He does not have to prove himself nor be under pressure to get noticed.

That sounds trivial but these guys who are trying to stick have a very narrow window to perform and make an impression. Team dynamics might not even get your the ball. Look how the stars had to align for Lin and to a lessor degree for Novak.

He had the benefit to work off season with coaches on a program and know he is getting minutes.

Big impact and he should round off his game.

Good for him!

Did I see at least 4 "Novak off the dribble!" posts in the Celts game thread??? That fact alone has made pre-season awesome.

Now starting at the 2 spot for your New York Knickerbockers! Yeah, I know, he'd get torched on D, but think of how many screens and picks the opposing team's 2 is going to have to run through on a nightly basis! The ultimate Mike Dantoni Defense by Taking Lotsa 3's!
