Felton has to keep shooting? You are not serious, right? He is an awful shooter! He needs to stop shooting.
U are crazy..It's not how u play basketball...Felton has to keep shooting to keep the defense honest...He has to gain confidence in his shot..It's pre-season where you work on your kinks...Woody has been telling him to shoot and praise the lord for it...If Felton's shot begins to fall we are a different team all together...He his doing everything u want in a PG except hitting his shot..We need some one to hit that outside shot Landry has been missing the last two years...I didn't want Fields to stop shooting either...His shot and his confidence could come in January, who knows, keep shooting...That will make us a tough out in June when it matters...Keep Shooting Felt, you look good out there...Keep shooting!!!!
You sound like MDA
He told TD to keep shooting and that he did.
Felton is not horrible when he gets set up and shoots but he is awful shooting off the dribble and that is not what he is good at. Baron Davis used to do that too and I could not stand it. Stop trying to be a star and set up the others. Felton's other aspects of his game are really good. This part of it really has hurt him.
Not only MDA, every coach in basketball will tell u shoot the ball...U have too or it kills the team...The same thing for Rondo, who is worse...There is no reason for him not to shoot the ball right now...He has to gain confidence...He isn't a great shooter but if he can knock down the open J then it keeps his man out the lane where it affects the rest of the team...It keeps him from cheating defensively so Felton can blow by him...It's one of those things u hold your nose and watch...He has to shoot....He doesn't have to be Steve Nash, just knock down enough to make the defender stay close....
I don't remember if it was during our first round sweep at the hands of the celtics - but some analyst said that when Rondo's defender plays off his so much, it actually makes it easier for Rondo to make passes - and I believe we saw that the defense should always be up on a PG (unless they are 40 years old and too slow, so basically any knick PG this year) when I think it was Anthony Carter disobeyed MDA's game plan and actually got up in Rondo's grill, impacting the game. Though we still lost.
