It looked like they were developing a motion half-court offense featuring back screens to free up mid-range shots (think Larry Brown’s mid-2000′s Pistons teams) in the first game. Then vs boston, they went very ISO-Melo heavy in the first half and straight MDA (spread the floor and run high pick and roll) throughout the 4th quarter and overtime.

@NUPE.. youre right. Maybe their not showing all their cards yet

Well he did say he was going to use some of MDA's play, so you will see a combination of both..I think when we get stagnet, thats when they dump the ball and let melo do his thing..

last night KT was missing so many wide open mid range jumpers melo decided to do what he does best, score.

I expect Amare to have a monster yr, he is going to benefit from the pick and roll, and the mid range game..We have some really solid PG play makers, some nice slashers, and novak, melo and smith from 3..We should be a top team with out any fraction of a doubt..

I expect to the Knicks to be a top 4 seed in the East. As for top team, dunno. It is possible but they will need to gel and Amar'e will need to get to around 22 ppg and 9+ boards on good fg% along with Melo putting up his career numbers. In the NBA wins are dictated by your top two or three players scoring / creating and defense. The top player will get easier shots for the other players and defense is a matter of coaching and effort.

Felton, Kidd and Priggy are really raising the level of PG play and that looks like it's gonna be a huge factor in how this team performs. When you have guys that can pass with a high level of skill like this it's gonna really boost the offense. Before the season I wasn't sure just how prepared Felton was gonna be but he looks like midseason of his 1st time being a Knick already. Felton looks like he's 100% comfortable. Kidd and Priggy have so much confidence, experience, skill and keep the ball moving with sharp slick passes. That's gonna stop us from getting stagnant.

People laughed at the Knicks PG situation, but these guys really do look like they're gonna make a huge difference.

Big difference between Prig/Kidd/Felton versus Toney Douglas / Bibby. It will be even better when Shump is back cause he is somewhat of a point-forward.

I'm not going to sit here and say that Lin didn't come to mind after watching felton brick some jumpers yesterday...

I can recall His last month as a knick, he started shooting so bad some didn't mind the trade, i just hope he doesn't go through a stretch like that this go round..how ironic that it was the same time tony was draining 3's..

We won't be reliant on Felton or Kidd shooting so thank goodness for that. This team is a very potent and balanced team when you look at it. We've got a lot of size, length, speed, athleticism, experience and skill. Not many teams have as much of all those qualities as the Knicks.

POSITION	STARTER 2ND 3RD 4TH
Point Guard Raymond Felton Jason Kidd Pablo Prigioni
Shooting Guard Ronnie Brewer J.R. Smith Iman Shumpert
Small Forward Carmelo Anthony Steve Novak James White? Chris Copeland?
Power Forward Amar'e Stoudemire Kurt Thomas Rasheed Wallace?
Center Tyson Chandler Marcus Camby

Just looking at the talent on this roster I see a team that has a lot of punch on offense and defense. I was concerned about the offense, but I'm starting to feel a lot better just seeing how the team is going to function offensively. I see a lot of really good PG play that will only help to get our finishers great shots. We should be a team that lives on the line. Most importantly for the 1st time in a long time I feel like the team from the front office to the last man are all in sync!!!! That is a huge plus this year. There's no hidden agenda. No lame duck coach or guys only playing for a contract somewhere else. Just a team trying to win a title.

That would be disappointing if Shumpert ends up getting buried on the bench. Brewer and Thomas will probably be the ones fighting for mins and will most likely depend on matchups and whats needed. Kidd, Brewer, Smith, Novak, Camby.

Shumpert is one of the x factors on how good a team we can become.

I doubt shump comes back before march
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better
