Ha- actually, the nba's official video on the new flopping policy features one by Gallo (the one where he pretended to have been elbowed in the throat:

I hate flopping so much (Still haven't forgotten Lebron's performance in Game 1), and I think most of the players were getting fed up with it too- Clippers started getting a lot of grief. Anything that has a chance of getting rid of this deserves a try:

These amounts are meaningless, especially given salaries. How about the flopping player is charged with a foul?

Or, if unable to determine whether it's a flop or not during the actual game, the following game the offending player has one less foul to give. So last night you flopped, it was ruled as such by whatever league authority, tonight you are ejected if you accumulate five fouls.

I like the rule, but it's going to make for some crazy judgment calls.

But you have to hope that at some point the players sense of shame will kick in and they'll stop doing it. Its absolutely pathetic and makes the whole game look bad.

Sense of shame? Really? It's sports, not stealing candy from a baby. It's up to the players to do what they can to win and the refs have to be on top of their games. Do the refs get punished if they miss a flop?

A few of those were questionable and this is the standard? It appeared as if Gallo really did get smashed in the neck--take one in the neck and see how you react.
