If you're going for Rasheed, any chance Shaq comes out of retirement?

WTF, Can we dig up Wilt and see if he has anything left?

He'd never sign for the league minimum. Plus he aint coming back; Russell would still be courtside, giving him shit.

More likely we dig up Marvin Webster. He's not as old, but he's affordable.

By the way, wtf didn't you ask Medical Bill if he could still suit up?!????

This is just getting embarrassing. We sign the point guard that was finished years ago internationally, bring in Jason Kidd on a three year deal, Camby on a three year deal and now we are looking a Sheed? I hope that's a joke. He gave up years ago in Boston and wasn't serious when he had a chance to win another title.

How bad a locker room are we trying to create.

say what you want, but Sheed wasn't viewed as a bad locker room guy in boston.

Camby is old
Kidd is old
Thomas is old
Rasheed is not only old....he hasnt been in the league in yrs, and as if tyson chandler doesnt draw enough technicals on his own, rasheed is a technical machine.

Just Like Ronnie Said......

There's one acquisition, though, that may have been overlooked amid all those moves: the Ronnie Brewer signing.

When it's all said and done, Brewer could turn out to be one of the most important additions to the Knicks' lineup because of what he brings on defense.

With Brewer, Tyson Chandler, Camby and a healthy Iman Shumpert on the roster, defense is expected to be a calling card of sorts for Woodson's Knicks.

So, just how good can this team be on the defensive end?

"I think the sky's the limit," Brewer said on Friday night.

Rasheed can play D and spread the floor a little. For 10-12 mins per game he can be solid.

I think we're just doing agents favours- him and T mac had very little shot of making the team, but the fact they worked out for the Knicks generated some publicity for them. We do their agent a favour, and if they surprise us we can sign them- we have nothing to lose.

Hmm, just been looking at His stats- I forgot what an infuriating player he was. He jacked up too many 3s (I seemed to remember him being a better shooter than he actually was) and was a poor/inconsistent rebounder, averaging between 6 and 8 (we roast Amar'e when he averages 9). Plus all the fouls and technicals.

He was never as good as he could have been, but I did really want us to trade for him, before the Celtics stepped in to screw us and help him land in Detroit.

Just out of interest has any player returned after retiring for 2 years and contributed? Especially at that age- maybe Alonzo Mourning?

Amundson just signed with the Twolves (for the minimum!) so looks like we're down to old dudes for the final roster spot.

Would adding Sheed be any different than having a taller and better shooting Jorts? Jorts was young and probably not as good but his age is great.

Well no it's different because look at what we did here

We traded

Douglas
Jorts
Jordan
2014 2nd
2015 2nd
Paid Houston $2.1mil to cover Douglas salary

for

Camby paying him $10mil guaranteed of his 3yr $13.2mil contract

Camby's 40 like Gundy He's a man Jorts isn't

Hopefully we get something out of it down the road then. He was a versatile player but never a great player like he could have been. At 38 and out of practice and with one of the poorer motors I can't see him being anywhere close to being helpful. I think Mourning had a decent run with the Heat alongside Shaq when he came back. But Zo was 34 and was of a different mindset than SHeed.

Strting Line up

KIDD
H2O
KURT
SHEED
CAMBY

Safe to say Woody cares only about coaching people who are at least as old as he is.

Ha- the thing is I get the Knicks thinking (old Vet guys are great in games 6 or 7 of a playoff series), but at the same time you have to actually get to the playoffs first. The problem with 38 year old players is that they are good off the bench, but if a starter gets injured, I really don't know if they can fill in as a starter for more than a game or two.

Is Anthony Tolliver any good? Looks like the Twolves aren't re-signing him, but I don't really know much about him other than he used to be a pretty good shooter

Sheed is a better basketball player than Jerome Jordan.

All in for 2012.
