On a younger team I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Knicks, but there are so many vets on the team this year and a no nonsense coach I don't believe he would be a disruptive force. I don't know if Tmac has anything left in the tank but considering how low he would probably be in the food chain (unless he shows something) it wouldn't bother me if he was brought back.

I get the feeling that the bench players are really going to compete with the starters as far as making an impact. We saw some of that last season and I believe we will see even more of it this season with all the vets who have been signed.

Like any of us needed to see a Youtube Video of T-Mac to justify signing him or not...this isn't some foreign prospect we're talking about here, who no one has seen play.

He should be trying to get some burn in Phx(medical reasons) or L.A.(light load no pressure to perform and still win). The Spurs could possibly work for him as they are accustomed to bringing in these type of projects(Dyess/Jax/Diaw/Bogans/Jefferson/Roger Mason/Finley) and it produce something worthwhile. Meanwhile we've produced near rock bottom results trying to do this.

Oh and did everyone forget about what he said about his time here when he went off to sign with Detroit? He basically laughed us off when he knew he wasn't in the plans.

This is what we do though. We operate in this fashion. We'll sign players or bet the farm for them after they diss us verbally or via their actions on the court.

If we're already contenders we don't need someone like T-Mac trying to hitch his leaking tug boat to our F Buck Fiddy

I don't understand why everyone hates on McGrady like he is a selfish player. The guy has skills even with his diminished physical tools.

You sign McGrady because you can trust him to make the right play on the court in crunch time. The same. Ant be said for the likes of Smith. Are we really expecting Copeland and White to be big producers at both ends of the floor this year?

This is a no brainer move for the Knicks.

Obviously Mcgrady wants to win or he would have stayed on tanking teams like Detroit and Atlanta.

yea, T-mac may be close to done, but he is still a smart and skilled player.. he would probably be the most well rounded player we have next to kidd.. which is sad that they are both on their last legs.... a few years ago and we are in business....

Mcgrady is a malcontent and still thinks he's what he used to be, I remember him bashing the Knicks on the way out the door, they don't need him and I don't want him
No layups!

It'd be nice to have depth at SG since we let Lin walk for nothing and Brewer and Shump are hurt. Not sure Mcgrady is the answer. Vince Carter has been more productive over the years.

This is a harmless move. If it works, why not? If it doesn't, you waive him and move on. We need all the help we can get.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

9 man rotation

Chandler, Stoudemire, Anthony, Felton, Smith, Camby, Kidd, Shumpert/Brewer, and McGrady.

I see Novak being a situational player because he provides nothing outside of spot up shooting.

Tough to think McGrady has much left in the tank - if he were any good, he wouldn't have been dumped by both Detroit and Atlanta in the past 2 seasons. He may be playing pain free, but the result of that pain-free play is that he no longer has superhuman athleticism/quickness/explosiveness.

We are weak as hell at the 2spot. I'd give him a shot. It's not like we will be giving him a big contract so he'll be tradeable if he sucks.

He was always an excellent passer but a 43.5% FG for his career is far from great.
