Also, the Knicks did sign Copeland. I think he is already 25-26. Not really a prospect anymore so maybe they intend to give him some minutes

theres no way kurt plays anything close to 10mpg...if he does were in BIG trouble...dude is mad ancient...if were relying on him to have a role on this team (even as a backup) then we deserve to be laughed at. hes there as a semi coach and practice player with vet leadership...i hope they slide melo over to the 4...but as a backup i hope they sign sean williams
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He played around 15 per for the blazers, so thinking he would play 10 here is certainly not out of realm.

But I'd suspect he'd play in games that don't involve back to backs.

Twitter is already laughing at the Blatche Watch, and it doesn’t help that Blatche has made himself into something of an NBA punch line. His annual summertime “This is the year, I swear!” declarations are legendary blog post fodder. He made these hilariously optimistic inspirational T-shirts for his Washington teammates before last season. He sponsored and/or presented something called “Lapdance Tuesday.”

Again: The chances a Blatche signing works for anyone are very, very low. There is just too much baggage and too long a track record of irresponsible play. But at this price, it’s worth a shot, provided a team can offer the right context.

Blatche making silly shirts has nothing to do with what he can do on the court. JR smith does silly things on twitter but he can help us on the court. Same goes for kidd beating on women and driving drunk

He definitely had potential and put up some good numbers but the guy is a goof ball and doesn't seem to be able to put it all together.

No way Blatche would be happy on the Knicks playing 10 minutes a game. That would have been a problem almost immediately. He's looking at teams where he can play 20MPG +. We're fine there anyway. Kurt can def play 10-12 MPG and we have STAT, Melo and Camby too. I'm more concerned that our only shooters are Novak and Smith every 5th game.

Usually. I would have been psyched if he signed in my but I think he will struggle where ever he ends up.

The difference between Kidd and Smith's situations and Blatche's is that we know Smith adn Kidd will come into camp in shape. Blatche is notorious for coming into camp out of shape, playing like cramp early on and then suckering people with his play when he rounds into shape and hi steam is out of contention. I would like to have take a flyer on Blatche, but won't lose sleep on him going elsewhere. He has a better chance of starting in New jersey, although I don't see that happening. It says something that 6'11" guy his age with his size and talent has to settle vet's minimum. Even Kwame Brown was able to sucker teams into paying him mid-levels.

This guy is getting 23 million over the next 3 years from the Wiz.

He is a talent but a head case. This is about guy looking to prove his worth.

There is not risk here to whom ever signs him. If he is a problem, he gets made gone.

BUt since he is not going to be a knick we are dismissing him as if we are sour?

You're right. Can't completely dismiss the dude because of his talent. And I hop he gets his stuff together. But the dude is a project and it's hard to get too upset about missing out on him.

IM not upset, and I suppose Woodson has his plans so we he is not a priority.

Its just amazing how when some fans want a guy, then he goes elsewhere and they shyt on him.

He can back up two positions and if he works out they can limit BroPez's minutes if his foot is not all they way healed or gets on foul trouble. We have Camby and Kurt. We good.

Right there were no mentions of headcase before he joined the Nets. Same with Jeremy Lin until he joined the Rockets now he is an evil asian

i havent seen his whole career but i wouldnt label blatche as a bad guy...maybe lazy and unmotivated...but hes was that classic "young, immature str8 from HS" talent that needs to grow up...i think whatever team he goes to will get a steal...which is why im mad the nets got him..again, whos front court would you rather have

Knicks:
Tyson /Camby
Stat/Kurt
Melo/Novak

Nets:
Lopez
Humphries/Blatche/Reg Evans
Wallace/DGreene

Id still give the edge to the knicks...mainly since the players on the nets are injury prone. I was a fan of kurt thomas..14 YEARS AGO. i hope we pick up sean williams so that kurt never sees the court. he should be the 90s version of herb williams...Job Description = bench coach in waiting-veteran leadership-crowd favorite

You blanket statement is too general to hold any merit. Some poster have been consistent with their stance, whether they think he's a bone-head that they wont no parts of or if they believe his potential worth the risk.

Now, if you can identify the poster and the post that states they wanted him a week ago, and now they are ****ting on him because he's now going to your beloved Nyets then you would have a point.

You have a point. I guess I was thinking more of a collective thought process.....

I call him a project because he still has a way to go mentally.
