I agree with the point.....Dolan has cleaned up his act and let real nba guys do their jobs.....in return we are here. We are in the best shape we've been in since dave checketts......

I'm not a troll. I been around forever. Things are good now cuz Dolan took a back seat

He rolled over Donnie and got the Melo deal done. Thats not delegating.

Grunny is the Anti-Checketts: He never is allowed to take credit or speak to the media.

Lin was taken personal.

I don't think he is changing.

Tyson was obtained because the Little Poop does want to win and is willing to spend money. Thats not changed, its jut the method has not.

I gave him credit when Stern intervened and he hired Donnie. I took it away when he tried to bring Isiah back as consultant.

Every good move is Grunewald and every bad move is Dolan?

1. Hiring professionals with proven track records for management positions.
2. Refusing to over-pay players.

This is the exact opposite of how he started out. He hired unproven people like Isiah Thomas, and overpaid a long list of players. Now he is going with pro's like Glen Grunwald, and refusing to over-pay players. Ironically, his refusal to overpay has earned him even more hate from the same fans who used to hate him for overpaying. This year I expect this improved decision making to pay huge dividends in a winning season that sees the next go deep into the playoffs.

mannnn, why even go there. You are going to be in the minority (along with myself) if you say anything good about Dolan. You got too many emotional Lin fans still buthurt about not being on the team. You got too many people with vivid memories of Isiah's tenure, despite the fact that most here loved the move when it was made and didn't start hating on him till like 2years in.

The biggest issue is that this generation of Knick fans don't want to be happy or feel good about this team. They spend most of their time "reading between" the lines of quotes to turn a positive into a negative when there is no "in between" to read.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

why does he have to be bizarro? Why can't he just be an individual with an opinion of his own instead of being another negative ass clone (which we seem to have tons of).

Its a good question. What we read is Dolan gets "Passionate" about some issues. Getting Melo was a passion play, as was "Lins deception".

The owners are very much involved in the $ side so I do give Dolan credit for Tyson as he provided the ability few teams in the league can afford.

Just about every phucked up aspect of the knicks since the "Little Man" exiled Dave Checketts because he was "getting too much credit" can be attributed to a management blunder. Since most organizations start at the top the last 14 years of the "Little mans" reign and subsequent on court lack of advancement has to be attributed to Dolan.

The current enthusiasm for the upcoming season appears by some fans here as almost "as sure thing" that we do very very well and thus credit must be given to grunny and dolan for the great roster we have assembled.

This is perhaps what irks me. Nobody gets credit for anything until the games are played in my book. Grading off seasons roster moves is great for the media and fans get all upset when it does not go our way but they are eating it up, then talk among themselves into a frenzy of optimism.

I find all the whiners to be hilarious.

People kill Dolan for overpaying players. But, when Dolan chooses not to overpay Lin he gets killed also.

These same people praise the Net's for trading for Joe J's horrendous contract and overpaying, Lopez, a center that pulled down 6 boards per game his last full season, SIX! SIX! JUST SIX!

The Knicks look pretty good, on paper, time will tell if they can perform on the Court. They need to win OVER 50 games, imo, to get a good seeding and a good position for the playoffs. This is certainly one of the better and more balanced teams in the East, imo.
