I would take Nene back along with Camby and let Denver keep their broken McDyess!

How do you take Frederic Weis over Ron Artest! Artest the local NYC kid, that went to St.John's with a world of talent. I think had we drafted Artest, he would have became a star. Imagine Sprewell and Artest on the same team.

Amare and Camby on the same team? That combination would be unstoppable!

Not taking Rondo was a huge, huge mistake. We would've been the best team in the Atlantic, not Boston.

Renaldo was a bad pick and Rondo is a hell of a talent but we have to consider the time and roster because we are in "win now" mode with Isiah trying to bring Eddy, Zach and Craw together. Oh, we have Marbury, Special Nate and Litte Stevie Francis on the roster.

There was a reason why Rondo went low in the first round but he stuck there because of his talent. He has had the right veteran leadership and the right coach with the right chemistry to make it work. Boston has been trying to trade him for a few seasons now. IM not sure Rondo becomes Rondo in NY given the instability of the roster, management and coach's.

Ron Arteest and Spree might have been imploded. Ron is also a world class talent but a major headcase thru the years with playoff melt downs. Usually migranes. Again, I am not sure being "at home" would have been a good thing for him. IM not defending Weis by any stretch but I get why they passed Artest.

Amare fell for a reason at that time and every team that drafted ahead of them (Denver wiffed twice) passed. They were obviously wrong! His maturity dealing with very serious problems was unexpected but credit to him for pulling it off. Bynum needed time to mature. Still does! He has been physically inconsistant and MIGHT be more eddy like as some media likes to point out he is in it for the money and does not love the game.

Noting easier than hindsight to look over the draft and see what players were missed and which was a bust. I thought Dlee was a great pick (he was taken after nate) and Landry in the 2nd round are two that come to mind in the rare years we had more than one pick. I think with good scouting and multiple picks you create better odds of "luck" and can build assets for use or trade. Every team wiffs on draft picks. We just don't focus on them because we don't follow them llike we do with the N*ts, oops, I mean Knicks!

Its bad we lost Landry and Lin for nothing. Not even some draft picks! As they say player development is important and even having the ability to draft some Euro's and stash them for afew years while developing can be a good thing. Spurs do this really well.

2005 draft a great study. ATL passed on BOTH Deron and Cp3 for Marvin Williams. This draft has so many misses and was awful. Look at the second round and you find some great picks. A lot of GM's looked silly in the first round. None worse than Orlando!

David Lee with pick 30 was one heckuva pick. If we did Bynum and Lee--they should still be together.

1. Fred "Tapscott" Weis was awful. I can understand why we did not pick Ron-Ron as he might have imploded faster and larger had he stayed in NYC. Migranes and elbows, suspensions and fights would have been on the knicks watch? ON paper we needed a center to replace Ewing. Reality was I don't think Ed Tapscott ever saw this dude play! If anyting he was victom to the greatest dunk ever! Vinsanity nut jump dunk in the olympics!

The reaction from vince was perhaps a great reason for refs world wide to help temper down the celebrations. First of all he nearly destroys Kevin Garnetts face with his exuberance! Then the two of them are woofing it up pretty good. Why was Vince so mad? Why the angry preening? What a douchebag! Garnnet was that kind of manic doucheback himself!

Are you serious? He just jumped over a 7 footer who was just standing there straight up minding his own business. Angry preening? You really have consumed wayyyyyy too many Mayor Flatline Chandler gummy pills. That's still one of the greatest dunk highlights of all time.
If KG's a doucheback, then what difference does it make to you if he catches some accidental exuberance to his mug?

Do you post some of this **** just to get reactions?

Have you investigated possible career opportunities in NY sports talk radio?

I said "the greatest dunk ever"!

They were playing France at the time. Not present day NBA loaded france. Then it was Tony Parker and some others. Vince acted like he bestowed vengence on a man who killed his dog. Today that gets you T'd up and a scolding that one should not be whooping and disrespecting like that.

Why do you care I if I point out that by todays standards that kind of self adulation has been eliminated for the embetterment of the game?

It's not that I care, I'm just trying to explain something to you. And you don't get it. It was exuberance! He's celebrating an incredibly nasty sick dunk, not conquering the country of France by eradicating socialism and avenging all the wrongs foistered upon all those small countries under French colonialism. Killed his dog? WTF are you talking about? Vince probably didn't even know Weis' name.

It's the Olympics. He was on tv. It didn't matter if it was Fred AdelWeis or Bill Russell or Jack the Ripper.

You're saying he's a douche because he got over-celebratory on an incredibe move? In a meaningless game at the Olympics? You don't like celebrations, I get it. The game should be a stoic event of solemn, game faced professionals who hone and execute their craft with all the skill, dedication and levity of ForceRecon Marines. While respecting everyone and anyone who's on the court doing the same.

Nalod, go lift off 5 feet off the ground and do the nasty over someone, and then please come back and tell me it was just another day at the office.

They whooped it up after a historic play that people are still talking about a decade later. That's the equivalent of shatting on mom's apple pie, I know.

Funny stuff. Last nite I aced a serve in my tennis match. I wanted to woop it up but realized I would win this match pretty well and would look like an ass. Its not the first ace I ever hit. It was sweet. It won't be my last.

VInce has won many dunk contests and is one of the great dunkers of all time. He was dunking on everyone.

That was a special dunk and I don't blame him for wanting to celebreate. I thought then as now he looked like an ass.

After seeing the dunk again and the 2012 team show restraint and respect when games were already decided it came across as very egocentric. ITs why guys like vince, Marbury, KG and Pierce failed in teh olympics and the worlds.

Im the guy that did/does not like when a guy sacks the QB for the 4th time that game and comes up like its the first time ever did it. Its ok to come up happy, Its ok to be pumped up but another to humiliate when the game is already in hand.

If I did that dunk I'd have a phucking parade! But we talking about Vince, no Nalod.

Yeah, well I'm still going to be yelling "Sweet Georgia Brown!!!" every time I hit a three during pick up games.

It is funny though: He was celebrating, not "celeberating". I think you almost invented another word up there, Mr. Ashe.

I have always wondered how things would have been different if the Knicks had taken Clyde Drexler in 1983 at #12, instead of Darrel Walker. Or even better had they not traded away their two 1st round picks in 1987, picks which became Scottie Pippen and Derrick McKey (which the likes of Kevin Johnson and Reggie Miller available.)

I was gonna say that
couldnt agree with u more! excellent

I dont think some realize that if ny kept them yrs from dealing pick,
Scottie pippen could been on board at Knicks selection and Pippen woulda played with Ew
not MJ

different story in the east then
Oh lord
Whom knew that ?
