was at a free public enemy & salt n peppa concert at wingate field and the nets had a big rv with basketball hoops to shoot at to get prizes (i played...hit 2/3 and i got a nets rubber wristband) and video games set up with one of the nba games.

you've been seeing them really promoting their team now. anyone catch those ads with 'i'm joe johnson' on the trains?

some may not care about them, but they will surely lure new fans away from the knicks.

How? We've got a great team, especially defensively. They've only added Joe Johnson who's almost 35 years old. Can shoot but he's no superstar. Novak can do the same thing. Who is Lopez going to intimidate? Nobody.
Wallace is good but he's already 35 with a big contract like Johnson. Williams is not exactly lighting it up in the Olympics. The lame excuse after he refused to take the Nyets to the playoffs two seasons is that he did not have talent around him. He has now in the Olympics. What happened?

I am not sure about joe but I am almost positive Wallace was in the same high school class as curry and Tyson.

So Wallace just turned 30, not 35. Johnson was advertised as one of the biggest overpaid overhyped max contract non-max players ever invented. Brook Lopez? Seriously? Aren't we talking about the wrong Lopez?

I like Melo. [gratuitous Knick mention in a Nyets thread] even though he hasn't played for 20 something-win teams yet, like DWill, who is now sure to be saviour of both Brooklyn and all things cool and retro.

I actually could NOT care less about the Nets. They are not on my radar outside of folks here talking about them. Admittedly it would have been different had they landed Howard, but for now that's not part of their equation so they're just another team the Knicks have to play and that I want them to beat.

I'm sure not being in NY helps, but I know I wouldn't feel any different if I moved back.

Funny, wallace is 30 and so is Amare and Tyson.

Deron is 28, so is Melo.

Joe Johnson just turned 31.

Be accurate with love or hate.

Yes you are correct. Numbers were off a little but still...plus the Knicks have a reallly deeeeeeeep bench. That's all I care about.

Another good thing that's happened for the Knicks is that according to Seth's Posting and Toasting, Amar'e Stoudemire is currently working out with Hakeem Olajuwon. Several pictures were posted with them and also JaVale McGee. Amar'e looks thin and in good shape. Another great sign. Imagine Amar'e doing some post moves next season and learning the Dream Shake. Wow!

That was an amazing class of high school all Americans. I had a magazine that did a huge feAture on that class when they were seniors.

How do you trade away your #6 draft pick for Gerald Wallace, then give Wallace $40 mil?

So I was riding the subway to work this morning, looked up for a minute and saw a Brooklyn Nets Ad.

"Hello Brooklyn, I'm #45, Gerald Wallace, All-NBA Defender and offseason fisherman."

I led out a loud laugh and chuckle, it was pretty quiet I think everyone was staring at me like I was crazy.

It's the little things in life...

If Deron Williams got to feature his passes to J.Johnson and Gerald Wallace as go-to,
you can bet after awhile Deron will forget about some of them passes when it comes to Wallace &
Deron will do what williams is capable of which is On-Demand chucking when he has no one to pass to OR no confidence
in few teammates to finish or score

Well then, at least we know his family's out in the open about changing colors. Think Nalod bought that for his grandkid for his birthday?

Hell yea!

Nalod basically farts "black and white" the way he gushes about his new team in every thread.

Too bad it's so hard for him to admit to it. I think he wants to hang on to the Knicks in case things don't work out with the Nyets.
