I can't see big Prig playing major minutes in an NBA game. He is just too slow. I would rather take a chance on a Machado. It's not that big a deal since Prig shouldn't be seeing major minutes under normal circumstances.

Effective cameo minutes.

Nice pickup by Grunwald. Does a good job handling double teams, has a nice variety of passes, keeps his head up and finds teammates on the break, clutch threes. Could see him used to close the early quarters.

Argentina played well - Scola sucked. If not for Durant going nuts, Argentina could have stole this game. Priggy is pretty slow at this point but he can shoot and does not turn the ball over - which most PG's would do against the USA Gazelles.

Scola looked off. Maybe he's still pissed off about being amnestied.

He tried the fake knee injury thing. To bad no one fell for it and the Suns got him.

Carmelo smiling and hugging Prigioni at the end is a beautiful thing

Pablo: "Can LaLa hook me up with one of her buddies?"

Carmelo: "Holla at yo' boy when you get to the city, you can stay at our place until you get settled"

Pablo: "Gracias"

He is a very unselfish player.

I think he can do a little more as far as going to the hoop, but he took what they gave him, and does not seem to force things.

Argentina's offense was much smoother in the half-court than ours, and he was one of the reasons. If guys on his team were hitting the shots he gave them, his assist totals would have reached double figures.

Not sure about his defensive ability at this point, but he does not seem like a tenacious 1/1 defender.

To be honest, he was the best Knick in the game.

Prigioni not being a speedster shouldn't be a big deal since this Knicks team is likely to be a bit more of a halfcourt slow it down team anyway. I'm sure they'll be opportunistic and run when it's there, but I think he's that Woody/LB style PG much like Billups who stayed out by the 3pt line and was feeding the post, shooters off the curl and being an outlet for the open 3pt'er when teams collapse on the post. Prigioni seems well suited for that kind of game. Basically Kidd and Prigioni fit that very well. Felton will be more of the push the ball guy when he's in there. I like what I saw from Priggy. He had a very steady hand and made some really smart passes.

Not to get off topic but, those in charge of putting team USA together had the entire pool of NBA players available when putting this team together and Chandler is the only center they deemed worthy? There is no reason for this team to be this small. I understand Howard is hurt, but you're trying to tell me a guy like Hibbert couldn't have helped this team? We're so small we had Anthony playing some center today. Makes no sense....

Care to elaborate?

Hibbert is an excellent passing big man, can score in the post and offer much needed size in the paint when they face Spain and the Gasol brothers...

I think Bynum declined and Hibbert is ineligible because he played on the Jamaican National team.Cousins, who knows? Anything is on the table when it comes to that guy.

Spock: "Interesting"

Not one article, or paragraph of analysis, in the New York press regarding Prigioni and his performance against the USA All Star Team.

Nada.

Because that's a basketball story...why would knick beat writers write about basketball?
