The Second part of the article, about the Knicks, is one of the more even-handed and sober accounts of the situation. Fairly exhaustive. Probably the last article I'll read on the situation. probably. I'll just post the link here:

crzymdups - Lin is a Houston Rocket. He must suffer on the court.

"Felton and Shumpert in the backcourt together now you know you in trouble"

That's how The Answer Man rools

Shumpert is out until January at the earliest. I hope for his full recovery as he and Tyson are my favorite Knicks.

I think Felton will be good.

We could also use another guard for the backcourt until Shump is healthy.

I liked the idea of having Lin and Kidd share the backcourt as starters and Shump and Felton off the bench. Sue me right back.

Maybe they can start together in the all star game. EVERYBODY WINS.

I never understand why the Knicks have to talk. Why would woody say "we will definitely match?". I work in a law firm and everyone is taught to always shut the fuk up.

It reminded me of when the knicks had their eye on Stephen Curry. Why did it have to be so public?

Well, as I've said elsewhere, I don't believe the Lin decision was about money. I think Dolan, Woodson and Melo felt that they were losing what was theirs to a point. Who is this Lin kid that comes out of no where and the city is loving. How does that look to Dolan who wants the team around Melo. How does it feel for Melo that the favorite player on the team for many if not a majority of fans was Lin? I don't believe for a second they let a guy like that walk due to money.

What I would like to know is this: Why was Raymond Felton at Dolans barbecue a few weeks ago

Because he has an eating disorder and Dolan got him at half price for a few tenderloins

During the season I wrote about the unholy alliance between Dolan, Isiah, Grunwald and Woody. Then when you add in Melo and CAA it's a real gaggle of entities that aren't the most beloved. That doesn't mean what they plan to do won't work, but it's clear that they were anxious to clear out the regime Stern tried to pressure Dolan to have with Walsh and D'Antoni. Lin unfortunately didn't fit with the Unholy Alliance's plan.

I don't have to like them for me to make an objective view of the team as it is now. I think this team will be good. How good we don't know, but this is Melo-World right now. For better or worse our wagon is hitched to Melo and we've gotta hope that he can lead this team to a title. Melo will never get another team that is more tailored to him and the way he wants to play. Lin if he was here takes away from that focus on Melo and he has the ball in his hand all the time. That just couldn't be acceptable to the Unholy Alliance and their plans. Lin wasn't part of that and he couldn't be controlled. Lin has his own people. The team clearly was split in 2 factions during Linsanity and after Melo came back it was ugly.

Uh ... Jeter? Does he not count? LT?

This has nothing to do with race. Starks was loved and never one. Ewing was not loved because he did not have the personality.

which is why he can't find a head coaching job

Don't see folks are reacting in a negative way toward the article, because depending on how accurate the info and conclusions are, what does, or does not, happen in Knicksland may be determined by some of the things discussed here.

Why not have info which may help you understand what is happening within the franchise when this or that move is made, especially those which some of us question?

As for the "Lin is gone- lets not talk about it anymore" attitude- this sounds like some people don't really want to analyzed, understand, or know that really happened. For some this is also a process of grieving before final acceptance of what has just happened.

The Lin decision is still fresh and is going to be worthy of its own threads, or comments within a thread. Live with it.

This is the thing which amazed me.

You are right about the Curry, too. It almost seemed that he was already a Knick the way the Knicks were gushing about him.

Better to put out some false rumors. We should have acted pissed off after the first offer was known, and put out rumors that we were going to walk away from him.

Ah ... unless we are not giving them enough credit. Perhaps we never wanted to match and having soldier Woody go out there and say "we are definitely going to match" was just a ploy to force Houston to overpay, and, to save face with the LinerFocker fans in NY. Houston bites, raises the offer, the knicks pout and act pissed and in the end, get exactly what they want. Rid-a-Lin.

Nah ... too much credit

happens every time there's a big move for the knicks. after the melo trade people made posts about the denver nuggets every single day - gallo highlights, gallo boxscores, wilson highlights, felton highlights, mozgov highlights.

people like the knicks and like the players on the team.

this one hurts a little more because it's losing our best young player for literally absolutely nothing in return.
