I think leaner is much better for Amar'e.

I'm hoping that extra weight is what robbed him of his explosion. I think he put on the muscle mass to protect has back, but it uh... backfired.

Hopefully Amar'e has his explosion and quickness back. And hopefully his back holds up. He and Felton can be a devastating duo on the PnR. That is something to be excited about.

They still need to work out spacing issues with Amar'e, Melo and Tyson along the frontline to give Amar'e space in the middle and still have Melo well positioned to be the second option on the PnR (not saying second option overall, but second option on that play)

The way I see it we're net positive after Felton's return, especially since Novak is a way better shooter than Gallinari. Shumpert, once healthy, should exceed Wilson Chandler, and the Moz is well the Moz.

The PnR issue between Tyson and Amare can be an issue. Woody has got to be creative - I wish he can bring in an offensive guru.

The only fear i have is that the last two yaers we have looked good on paper but turned out to be inconsistent. I just want to see this team win a nba title. 1994 really broke my heart. I know in 3 years we are probably going to blow everuthing up and be bad again i just wnat to see thsi team at least reach teh finals one time

All about starting out of the gate fast, staying healthy, and securing homecourt in the playoffs. After that, let the chips fall where they may.

It seems putting on more weight is a dumb thing to do if your protecting your back

That is not the case - I saw him miss both playoffs and dealing with numerous injuries - I have low expectations for him staying healthy and explosive and would love nothing better than to be wrong. He is a good guy and we don't have to talk about defense ...

I just find it funny that he gets a pass from many of the MDAers/MeloHaters but thats fine - to each their own. MDA was very lovable and I understand how people are still pining for him and his brilliant non-ISO offensive.

Amare needs to find his jumpshot again. If he can shoot like he did in 2010 i think it will clear space or him and tyson

This team needs an unreal amount of Luck to get to the Finals. They need the whole team to be healthy for the playoffs and Dwayne Wade or Lebron out for the playoffs. They get that they would have a shot then. Miami is the only team that scares me in the East. The other teams the Knicks can Beat. Those teams can beat the Knicks 2 but they could play with them. If Miami is healthy the Knicks cant win

That's exactly what he said. Because of the lockout, he wasn't working with the team medical staff, so he just power-lifted to protect his back--and the extra mass hurt is quickness and cardio.

Doesn't explain why he attempted a ha-dou-ken on a fire extinguisher though!

All true but all teams need unreal amount of luck to beat the heat. As far as the second tier teams, I think the knicks are right up there with all of them.
