If you look past the racism and vulgar....You can see the message.

Everybody is upset at Lin, with his secret last minute renegotiation where Houston added the poison pill.

Honestly, I think the problem is not Lin, but his agent. Yes, Lin switched agents to protect him. Unfortunately, high profile agents are good at obtaining the most out of nba teams.

But a non-knick fan / friend said Lin is now under the radar with all teams and nba players. They will guard him and attack him like white on rice. Eventually, he will break down again, and spend most of his nba playing time on the side line with injuries.

I can see that happening.

Also, I think with all this media coverage and hype, Lin was in a loss...loss situation. If he stayed in NY, the media and fans would've been all over him, criticizing every fault. He would not be able to play up to his potential in NY, under that type of internal team and external / NBA pressure.

Going to Houston, he will get the same criticism, especially if they have a losing record and miss the playoffs.

The smart thing for Lin would've been to get an agent that good with managing his image. Instead of getting the most $ per contract, which always comes with loads of pressure and high expectations. He should've said he only wants to play for NY, and privately named his own price, based on feedback from other NBA contracts with similar historical stats.

Then use his Linsanity popularity to gain additional $ that would've equaled or doubled his entire contract. Now that’s a win...win for Lin.

But like the old saying goes....Money is the root of all evil. This facebook attachment is only the beginning.

It is over. No matter what people say it is over. Just because they are upset doesn't justify being racist. Wow, if I get racist everytime I am upset at someone...

Aside from the racist comments, Is this any different than how people act on this board when it comes to I.Thomas or J.Dolan?

Very well put. And I can see the league clamping down on Lin if for nothing else but to shut up all the "Linsanity" talk.
Anyway, life moves on and us Knicks fans will be alright.

It's sad and some fans get carried away. I remember when this soccer team from south America (I don't remember which country) saw thier team loose to another team in the championship and when the team got back in the country some crazy fans killed 2 of the players one was the goalie who aloud the points. Now that is real sick.

You sir, are so full of hatred. If you wrote more, I might even think you could be a racist. This story has 2 sides. Both sides screwed up by being greedy. Lin is just looking out for himself. ALL players are looking out for himself. Forget loyalty, Knicks didn't do much for Lin and Lin made all that money for the Knicks, so pretty much evens up although I think Knicks got the better end if you exclude the possibility of Jimmy Dolan getting his feelings hurt.

Since Usenet the Internet has been used for hate. Just amazed at the vile things people say on the Internet these days under their real name.

People always said things like this within their own circle of friends. Now, they have a way to share it with the world. Over the last 15 years politics has destroyed incremental social gains that took 100s of years. It has legitimized, nationalized and made a TV sport out of name calling, backstabbing and public prosecution of people for imaginary crimes. There's enough bitterness out there that even people who set out to resist these things eventually get sucked in to doing them.

Yeah I remember that the other player was called Paul Escobar if my memory serves me right. He had missed a penalty kick during the penalty shoot out that eliminated their team.

The worst I ever saw was Tim Bradley's twitter after the Pac fight. And none of the people that hit him up were Philipino or even Asian for that matter.

I think I know the dude who wrote the first comment, SMH!!

When your organization is trash and they plant stories to make a kid look selfish and not loyal this is the reaction you get from uneducated people.

It's embarrassing to root for an organization that has no class.
