starting sg? either the guy that beats women at home and drives drunk or the other guy that beats women in clubs...take your pick. either way, you got a role model for everyone's kids to cheer for...

let's go raptors!!!

But can they match the Zeke & Marbs era for sheer entertainment value? I don't think so.

I know! Billups!

I think Allan Houston coming out of retirement is our best option for that one.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's JR for now. If we bring another one it's essential to locker room chemistry that he doesn't make too much money though. people could catch feelings. better run it by the salary committee first.

it is unfair that someone didn't start a thread about JR taking a paycut to play for the Knicks. If you read his twitter he might actually be the first player who loves NYC life so much he took a paycut to be here. it's also home/family for him i guess. or no other team would pay more than we would enough to tempt him to leave here.

also: Courtney Lee???

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

we need Rip Hamilton. Good veteran. Woody loves vets. How about Shump for Rip?

I like rip, but he actually needs a motion offense to be effective.. woody is iso ball.. rip would be lost.. plus he is not old enough...

Felton took a paycut during his first tour of duty. You gotta support guys that love the name on the FRONT of their Jersey.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I think JR likes the city, Woody has a hell of a lot more patience etc.

But can we please PLEASE stop with this sentiment? C'mon Durzo you're smarter than this

If Player X does not take substantial paycut to play for a team then he is selfish? If that's the logic you're using then a very high percentage of NBA players love the name on the BACK of their jersey. Amare/Melo/Chandler are not playing for a discount by any stretch of the imagination. Anyways this is supposed to be about the starting SG. Sorry I brought the whole JR/salary committee thing into this.

wow, talk about reading a lot into a simple statement. I do support guys that love being Knicks, simple as that and he did take a pay cut which, was a statement of fact NOT AN INDICTMENT ON ANYONE ELSE. Not sure how you got so much out of my post. Never said anything negative about someone for not taking a pay cut so chill and don't put words in my mouth or attribute a sentiment to me that I haven't voiced.

One of the things I loved about John Starks was that when he did something good, he was constantly pointing the the Knicks letters on his Jersey. He was proud to be a Knick.

Getting a SG depends on how much we can afford. I would love to get foye or c.lee
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Would prefer someone who can space the floor but at this point we have to take anyone willing to play for the min.

Weren't we in negotiations with Evans?

Well, I guess on the depth chart JR Smith is the starter. Which I wouldn't mind, his talent is immense!

James White subs.

Mix in some 2 pg sets.

I really like the Brewer option. He is the better defender between him and Evans. He also runs the floor and moves and cuts well to the basket. A bit like a guy we used to have on this team who shall remain nameless for no particular reason.

Had enough Melo?

The thing with Evans is that he would bring 3-point shooting at shooting guard. J.R. does it but he is a streaky shooter. I'd suggest to get a three point specialist as that other shooting guard we get, so even when Shump comes back, he will still be a weapon off the bench.
