dude, there's no reason to argue, as i just told crzy. if you are no longer entertained by the entertainment then maybe it's time you moved on. no one is forcing you to stay at knicks fan lol.

Again, no sane Knick fan who has had enough of Dolan destroying the team will blame you, allanfan.

I'm with you crzy. I've been a fan since 1992. I've been rooting my ass off for this team and I stuck with them through the darkest of dark ages when we had Isiah and Marbury sh&ting on the team. I then stuck with them when Dolan hired Isiah back (Only to have Stern reject that) which was a spit in our face. I stuck with the horrible contracts and terrible trades. I stuck with the egos. The massive massive egos.

To me, this just shows the Knicks aren't serious about winning a championship. I really wonder what the classy guys like Amar'e (Yes, he's classy despite a couple of incidents), Camby, Tyson and even Shumpert think about this. We all know what Kidd thinks of it.

Can't blame any fan who gets pissed off at Dolan. Since none of us know how all of this will shake out I would say to all of you who plan on bailing to wait and see how the Knicks do next season, at least the first half. If they're playing well and the team looks competitive without Lin then I would enjoy their success and put Lin in your rear view mirror. If the Knicks look like a hot mess from the start, then put your team in the rear view mirror and find another one to cheer for, if that will make you happy.

People seem to forget that after Lin went down last year the Knicks finished 12-5.

I'm sorry to see him go but this is insane.

it's proof positive that this team has no interest in building a championship team. even if they didn't want lin on the roster, he's an invaluable trade chip. they could have handled it any number of ways differently. but as of last thursday mike woodson was saying he was excited for lin to be his starting PG. so no one can even pretend this is about basketball. this is about dolan.

i love basketball. i hate dolan. so the knicks can't be my team. i feel heartbroken and i'll probably follow the team and root for them again at some point but right now i am filled with complete hatred of dolan. he spited the one exciting stretch this team has had since 2000-1 over nothing but his own ego.

or in the words of bill simmons. hate to agree with this guy:

I understand their frustration, especially with Dolan. I'd rather Lin was the PG instead of Felton but that's not enough for me to stop being a fan after 40 plus years. If anything would have permanently driven me away from the team it would have been Isiah.

Good thing about times like this is it weeds out a certain type of Knick observer. I'm always happy to see them go.

Yeah, and I also hear his last podcast where he said Rajon Rondo was one of the top 10 players in the league. The dude is a homer and you have to take what he says with a grain of salt.

No, but I'm saying Simmons needs to mind his own damn business and worry about his own teams lmao

Aww, you too, Allanfan? Say it ain't so!

Sleep on it tonight, and see how you feel in the morning. If that means taking some downtime away form the Knicks or even from B-Ball altogether, then do that.

I've read others posting about "no longer being a Knicks fan", but I think you're one of the few out of that bunch who, in their heart of hearts, know you don't really mean that. Maybe I'm wrong, but It's just my take on it.

20 years is a lot of time in to walk away from being a fan. As many disappointments as we Knicks fans have had to bear over the years (especially through the past decade), never have I been driven to so much as consider ending my Knicks fandom. While we all have lives outside of being Knicks fans, for me, I've been Rooting too hard for too long for this team. No matter how many breaks I take or how long I might be away form following basketball as often as I used to (and like to), rallying for these New York Knicks won't ever change and won't ever stop. It's part of who I am.

You and a few other need to ask yourselves how much is it a part of you.

Just relax a while and give it some thought. We all need to clear our heads for a few, every once and a while. That's coming from one who knows.

Peace, Allanfan20.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

No, Dolan doesn't deserve your support. But please stay here. It's nice social community!

you wouldnt enjoy being a fan. Besides... its more fun to just stick around here and hate. Like all these donkees who have been blaming DAntoni all this time? Now you get to watch the Knicks win 50 games behind Woody's legendary iso-joe offense while getting bounced in the first round. There will probably be an injury we can use as an excuse, so there's that...

Now they are, more than ever, Carmelo Anthony’s Knicks, today and next season and maybe for a long time. They are Mike Woodson’s Knicks. And the Knicks of the general manager, Glen Grunwald, who replaced Donnie Walsh. They are not built around a phenom, or a fad, and for the moment, there is no savior-in-waiting. If you are one of those who have decided the Knicks let a future Clyde or Earl the Pearl go to Houston, then you should go to Brooklyn now.
