Uptown wrote:Look, its a sad day for Knicks fans to see Lin go if its true. I dont think anyone wanted to see Lin leave. With that said, Ewing was shown the door after he left years of blood and sweat on the MSG floor, King was told "Thanks ut no thanks," after battling back from massive knee surgery, Rod was traded, as was Mark Jackson, and still I remained loyal. On opening night on November, with or without Lin I will still be here, supporting the blue and orange...

I agree. I will remain a fan as well. But this also answers the age old question that NY fans keep asking "why do stars keep using us to sign somewhere else".

The answer is obvious.

Very obvious Bip, but as old school loyalists, its hard to severe ties espcially when were are essentially helpless.

True

I just hope that people will like me

Don't question the Knicks or you're a troll or Net fan.

Well maybe we get lucky and trade Melo, Woody and Dolan ..... Oh wait.... You said assets, my bad.

Can I say FAME WHORE?

Is this sarcastic? I can understand if you don't think it's worth it to keep him but what's with all the animosity?

So confusing.

That goes for you too Chuck. Phuck Lin? Why??

Btw..I think Felton will be fine.

Guy went Hollywood on our ass. Believed his own hype. Trademarked "Linsanity"...Lin get the hell outta here with that! New York created Linsanity, not the other way around. Without this city, organization, fans, and the media he wouldn't have landed that contract. Just be a guy that had a good 25 game stretch...

You are living in alternate reality. Care to come back to this reality?

Papabear Says

Good to know you Lin. Best wishes in Houston. I honestly wish you the best. But now it's time to move on and I promise you within a year Chris Paul will be a New York Knick and we will go for the title. I also believe Felton have something to prove and he will be on top of his game. Felton want to be a Knick. And Lin you really didn't. We will be waiting for you when you come to New York.

Is Papabears logic: Unless a players takes a paycut to make sure he is on the Knicks? Just asking.

If so then the only guy who really wants to be a Knick is JR Smith. Everyone else on the roster got as much money as their agents could negotiate. Some MIGHT be overpaid.

Players who REALLY wanted to be on their teams enough to sacrifice $: Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen. Just saying.

Chuckbuck. Whether Linsanity is possible without NY remains to be seen. I wish him well as Houston isn't going to face us in the Finals or anything.

Rooting for Felton to find that old magic! Time to wipe our faces and move on.

Well I believe Felton took a pay cut, with a verbal guarantee that he'd be the starter. Getting him for a little more than $3m/yr is unbelievable.

After the season he had last year it's kindasorta believable. Then again Ramon Session got $5m per. I think Felton had a pretty monster 2nd half last season. See I'm talking myself into this real easy!

Don't we still need a shooting guard? Or will White be the man there to back up Smith?

The Answer Man Misses Trevor Ariza

A. Absolutely. The gifted JR Smith needs to listen to Jason Kidd as much as anyone.

A. Negative. Unless James White can develop his offensive game to operate in space and improve his decision-making, he is just a defensive specialist and planted deep on the depth chart.

We only have 4 guards of which 3 are PG. That's another reason why letting go of Lin is/was crazy. He could have played SG.

White could be a G/F?
We still need to fill out the roster with some vet minimum contracts.

Not until he comes back and shows he can play well. He had a very tough injury on his knee and everyone is assuming he will be back in January, the same or even better than before. Not wanting to ruin anyone's evening any more than Dolan might already be doing, but sometimes guys don't recover fully or it takes longer to recover.

A much needed thread, misterearl.

Everyone jumping ship, meanwhile, the most promising roster we've have in a decade +.

Can't wait to see this squad next season. We were top 5 on defense before adding Camby, Kidd, Felton and Kurt? Shump, get healthy soon, because I can't wait to see this defense running on all cylinders!

Isn't that the record the Knicks had under Mike D'Antoni that one season?
