I've been a Knicks fan for over 20 years and if there is one thing in sports I can't stand it's a bandwagoner.

Amen, brother! Can I get a witness!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

amen. i watched many many games of the dead soul isiah era. too many. but that lakers game is the most memorable knicks game for me since the Knicks beat the Pacers in Game 6 to get to the Finals in 99. i had friends who hadn't talked to me about the Knicks in years calling me that night saying "did you SEE THAT?!?!?" it was insane.

this isn't about bandwagon crap. this is about hope. and excitement. jeremy lin is everything that is right and good about sports. that may sound corny and it clearly pisses off some people here, but it's true.

The last 12 years have been painful. Im not saying lin would have made us a contender but it would have been nice to see what he a shumpert could do together

Yeah, the Knicks teams with Lin, Shumpert and Tyson on the floor were my favorite since the 99 team. Maybe even the 92-95 teams. Just felt like they were all completely unselfish and tried hard and defended and had special skills which would only get better with time.

I get none of that from Melo. And every time I talk myself into Melo he does or says something that makes me wish we'd never traded for him.

I am a knicks fan so will root for melo but i just dont understand him soemtimes. the guy has so much takkent but he seems insecure and if things dont go his way he stops trying to tunes out.

Melo is the new Eli/A-Rod. When he wins it will all be forgotten.

The problem is that there is a better shot of jimmy hoffa showing up

The same thing that was said about Eli. I believe Melo will deliver the same way I believed that Ewing would. Ewing couldn't do it alone and Melo can't do it without Stat.

Ewing gave 110% every single night. He left the court having defended every possession and done his best to win.

You can rarely say that about Melo. He's just not consistent, but he seems to feel entitled like he should be treated the same as Durant or Lebron.

Its true i wish melo was better tahn lebron or durant buts he just isnt in their league. I mean throughout his career melo has had a good supporting cast and he hasnt been able to really make noise in the playoffs. Now i think melo is a better person than lebron but lets be honets lebron took a scrub team and made them a eastern powerhouse for years

Stay tuned.....the Knicks will make noise this year led by Melo.

Listen fact of the matter is the Knicks are an embarrassment. They remain the worst franchise in the city and one of the worst franchises in all of sports. And fans giving up is reasonable. To watch years of constant mistakes in the front office and watch me first players like Marbury and Melo get the keys to the franchise is disgraceful.

The Nets have a very good chance of being better than the Knicks. We barely beat them last season without Lopez and Joe Johnson. Not matching this deal is going to turn out to be a tremendous mistake. He's not going to magically forget how to play. Did you see the list of guys with similar stretches? Jordan, Iverson, Wilt, etc it was a list of all time greats. Does he belong on that list, clearly not, but the kid can play and he can make things easy for guys. I am not sure Felton will be able to do so in the halfcourt. Woodson is stubborn to a fault and has a very hard time creating any meaningful offensive game plan.

What's the goal here? To beat the heat. The Heat are weak at the point guard so you attack their weakness. We need as many scorers, shooters as possible.

Did any players say a word after Melo wanted his money and gutted the franchise? After you disrespect your fans, organization, teammates and virtually quit on your coach, come into camp overweight and exhibit a bad attitude you have no right to open your mouth. Especially when you sucked in the playoffs and isolated the entire offense.

They better match. You don't let a kid this young guy. He's making 5MM the next two years, worst case you send him to the rockets for a draft selection or ship him up to toronto. We already lost fields for nothing, you can't keep losing young players and getting nothing in return.
