So they did at least 3 times as bad as the market? I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

the article mentions a 60 cent drop in stock price. it closed at 59 cents down.

let's see what happens when they officially don't match. i'm guessing something in the ballpark of 5% over the week.

it's still going down - After Hours: 35.97 -0.03 (-0.09%)

a lot of hedge funds and stock owners will remove MSG/Cable Vision if Lin walks, turn around and short the stock instead....

That would be a nice consolation prize if we lost Lin

what time does the asian market open? it's still open, right? in all seriousness, MSG is going to BLEED money from the asian markets.

dolan is really the biggest turd in the universe.

how anyone can justify this decision from a financial stand point or a basketball stand point is beyond me.

everyone who is toeing the Knicks company spin line - consider that two or three days ago, Knicks coach Mike Woodson was ecstatically talking about Lin as his starting point guard and couldn't wait for the season. now he's been muzzled for the duration of Dolan's tantrum which will cost MSG millions upon millions of dollars.

To be more precise, it's a NASDAQ stock and it did about four times worse than the rest of the NASDAQ today.

Did you follow it last week and last month too to see if it follows the Nasdaq trend?

Did you see news about declining price do to Lin?

Should I start naming the may companies that did worse? Is that because of Lin too?

I'm quoting an argument from a Wall Street Journal author. If you know more than he does or have a counter-argument that is backed by concrete evidence, I will surely listen.

Here is some - I guess they should have never bought MSG stock. Or, stocked up on Linsanity jerseys.

I'm looking to sell too but waiting for the dust to settle a bit. The most popular player on the team leaving is huge news and does have an impact on the company's stock price, you'd have to be a complete moron not to realize that.

Wait a second. Why should we use logic let's believe the clown who lost money in the market recently. He must know something about investing! Geez what a clown. He should read your post and realize that Lin did have an impact on Garden stock previously and if he leaves he'll have an impact again. But why use logic let's use his skill at picking market losers!

again, not an expert...like you *cough*...but your chart is based upon percentage of loss. If you had actually looked at it, they are mostly penny stocks where a change in stock valued at say .68 (cents) will have a higher percentage of loss. Can you tell me which of those stocks on your list just lost 50M dollars?

No one has proof of why a stock changes value - educated people provide interpretations. This Wall Street Journal editor attributes the sharp decline to the Lin situation. I'm waiting to see an alternative, counter interpretation.
