Joe Johnson good?

hey, guess what, joe johnson is good.

Joe Johnson sux at that price tag!

fans don't pay the player's salary. this is misdirection by the owners. they make millions off the team and hide their earnings in side businesses and then claim to lose money and point at player salaries - usually at contracts they sign. the knicks can afford lin. the nets can afford johnson.

i want lin back just like anyone, but that pricetag is stupid. he's not a proven commodity.

$25M over three years averages to $8.33 M per year. he is proven at that level. you don't do the things that kid did at the highest level and it's some kind of fluke.

Damn, I must have missed the game where he dunked over LeBron. What exactly did he do?

go back through the Sports Illustrated archives and look for the only player in history to make the cover two weeks in a row and then maybe you won't feel so utterly clueless.

Ohhh so an 8.33M salary is warranted because he is very marketable. Gotcha.

It's just so ****ing hard. We haven't won a championship in 40 years. 2002-2009 was as awful and embarrassing a time as any sports fan has ever experienced. We finally, finally, appear to be turning the corner; I get my hopes up, just slightly, that Dolan might have learned from past mistakes. And then this ****storm happens and I can't help but think why do I do this to myself? Why do I allow a group of strangers to affect me this way? And I just want to say **** it and quit and be done with the whole thing. But I know, no matter what happens, by the time the regular season rolls around I'll be somewhere watching the game, getting my hopes up again, just to have Dolan stomp on them again.

I'll never ****ing learn.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

I'll never be able to root for another team, but I won't be rooting for he Knicks very hard either. I feel like one of the best things that happened to us was just thrown away to fit Melo's ego. Melo couldn't stand to share the spotlight, now he will deliver us to a second round exit. And the board will go wild because we improved each year under Woodson! - UGH
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I have been a knick fan for too long to let the new cba, Daryl morey, and whatever the swamp dragons are doing make me root for another team. I want Lin back but emotions aside, the new cba makes the contract he agreed to almost impossible to mAtch unless they plan on trading him before year 3.

Knicks fans are in for a rude awakening when they realize what Felton is without Dantoni's system inflating his numbers. We are talking about a guy who will average 11 inefficient points on 40% shooting 20 something % from 3. Who a few years ago couldn't get major minutes in Charlotte with Larry Brown as his coach because he could not run a halfcourt set and get everyone involved. He was let go by Denver in favor of Lawson and started on a team with Lamarcus Aldrige, Crawford & Camby and had an atrocious year statistically. A year that is more in line with his career averages, Basically you know what you are getting from Felton and the big 3 of melo, amare & tyson is not good enough to compete with Miami, Boston, OKC, LAL, San Antonio, Indy & Chicago

Depends on what type of fan you are. I thought the Isiah/Marbury years were great. I have hopes for Kidd and his boozing ways.

You might be kidding but I find it all very theatrical and entertaining.

Somewhere in the middle of those dreadful seasons I lost interest. Walsh did a great job cleaning up the mess and starting a new winning culture now its all be undone again and the Knicks are back to being mediocre. After dealing with 11yrs of Layden & Isiah. I can't put up with another decade of mediocrity. Lets see how the Knicks handle these aging stars now. We know the direction the team went in after Ewing, Oakley, starks, LJ. The endless cycle continues. It may be another 20yrs before we realistically contend again

I cannot remember when in the last 10 years the knicks had a team close to this one going into next year. Its not their fault that Miami is so fukkin GOOD!

Well if we had won a championship or gotten close then it would be easier to deal with but the fact that after missing the playoffs for 7 years we have won a grand total of 1 playoff games in the new revamped era. I mean we will most likely sttruggle to get out of teh first round again thsi year and have an aging team with no draft picks
If the Knicks let Lin go, I might be done.
