I don't understand you....
Amare carries himself as an alpha dog, calling himself a "Beast". He is very high on himself. The truth is if he doesn't have a lane to the basket or if he can't bully his man and blow past them, he is inefficient. Rebounding.....he lets everyone take advantage of him, especially when it counts down the stretch. He puts no effort into rebounding. He finishes games with 2 rebounds, 4 rebounds way too much. Even in the playoffs....
Thing about a guy like Scola is, he is not an Alpha dog...he is not a guy you give 40 minutes to and as them to carry a team. Scola is a skilled player, but if you wanna win you play him 30 mins per. I' rather have Camby and Scola split minutes because Scola is more involved in the game besides pick and rolls...Scola can post, pass, play miami heat style defense with the flopping, etc.
Truthfully if Amare is not able to get the lane or blow by his man he is useless.
May be because Amare gets paid 18 million dollars per season, while Scola gets 7 millions per season. With more money comes more responsibility.
He wouldn't get paid if he wasn't that good....He's becoming exposed on the Knicks. His lack of rebounding and overall skill has reduced his worth to about the same level of a Scola. The Knicks are too good to force feed him and have him on the pick and roll all game. His game is now exposed.
