Lin played on Golden State for a year and could beat out Curry, who had a bad ankle. I wouldnt pencil Lin in for anything crazy at this point.

WTF??? Who wouldn't want Kyrie period? That's not a fare point to make. The thing is that Lin showed he could produce at a high level on the highest level. We really lucked out to get a kid with Lin's talent for NOTHING. People doubted Lin since day one and he proved who he was last year.

LOL, remember only a few people in here who were pissed that Dantoni was not playing Lin.
Funny, how things have changed and things turned out.
I constantly kept making post on why we needed to give Lin a shot and nixluva kept defending Dantoni.

"we as fans, think we know better than the coach, just like when we pushed TD to play, Jordan Hill, Darko Milic...."

now you are saying he is a "GREAT PLAYER"
If only, I could have convinced Dantoni to play him earlier, who knows how what round we would have made it to...

I was never against Lin! My point was that the coach didn't think he was ready as early as some wanted him to play and even Lin admitted he benefitted from his time in the D League. We all saw Lin had some talent but as I had made a very detailed timeline post showing MDA barely had any time to give Lin a chance to learn the system. Lin wasn't in camp and the schedule was jam packed with very few off days. Judging by the results I'd say MDA played it just about right.

Glen and MDA fully intended to find out what Lin had before letting him go and thank goodness Lin stepped up but there was no guarantee Lin would be as successful as he was. I'm pretty sure MDA was more confident after Lin killed it in the D League!!!

i think the turnovers will go down. but i'm worried about his durability—lasting a full season.

Don't worry that's why we got JKidd(39) and PP(35)!
