i dont understand? With what money, besides the 400-500k Min Offer?

We technically still have our mini MLE but Dallas didn't S&T Kidd to us yet, unless they have an agreement of some sort.

If Mike Miller/Heat get an injury exemption, we should get one for Shumpert and a pickup for losing Iman and Baron Davis in the playoffs....

If he was born in argentina then you can simply refer to his as argentinean. There are millions of Italians in South America. Just like in the usa. You dont call them italian americans just americans

Solid 3rd PG. Looks like the Knicks are investing a lot into educating Lin. Looks like he used to be a really good pass-first, defensive PG.

I have seen this refereed in several threads by several posters. WTF. No one has ever said that they would get an exception and to the best of my knowledge no article has referenced this happening.

So, why do posters keeps saying it?

Signing Kidd and now Prigioni is more than for educating Lin (which they both will do). They both will set up our 2 star forwards - Melo and Stat- as well as PnR with Tyson.

I know that Mike Miller and The Heat will get an exemption of 2.9m, half of what Miller makes this season, if Miller cannot play for medical reasons.
I don't know if this would require him to retire or if it is just for this season, if he is unable to play, then continue on with his contract next season, so I am not sure how it works....

The Knick's do not get anything compensated for their loss of Iman Shumpert or Baron Davis, not to my knowledge at least.
I am pointing out that I don't think it is very fair for the Knick's, The Bulls for Rose, Rubio for Twolves, and maybe even Orlando for Dwight Howard.
Then again, Grunweld has been finding loopholes in the CBA, to use and benfit the Knicks, which probably will eventually lead to some changes in the rules of the NBA.

At the very least, this guy is supposed to be good outside shooter with some decent size, according to the scouting reports I've seen. He'll be an upgrade over Bibby if he has half a pulse and might be able to play off the ball some with Lin.

It would make sense to use a roster spot to mentor another PG to develop with Kidd/Pablo's experience and knowledge of the game.
But that would mean we would have 4 roster spots out of 15, to use on one position.

Either way, if we are paying these veterans for multiyear contracts, they are true leaders/veterans at what they do, with Kidd/Pablo/Tyson Chandler/Camby
Finding the right players that are willing to learn and dedicate their time to practice and absorb from these veterans would be very cost efficient, and provide us youth and make up for our lack of draft picks for our future.

Pablo, White, and any players that Knick's sign from undrafted rookies/D leagers, should all have 2 year, team options contract's like Dan Gadzuric to be as future trade baits, before the league appeals and stop his flaow that Grunweld exposed in the system. Grunweld is quite articulate, clever, and has the financial support of Dolan/MSG to fight off the billionaire Russian, Jay-Z and The Bklyn Nets

This is great news. I sort of wanted him over Kidd to be honest. But, now whoever is playing well on a given night will probably get some time and Lin can easily play SG while on the court. We could run quite a few 2 PG sets, which will make things extremely difficult for opponents considering our roster now.

I'm just relieved that we will have 3 PGs(should we sign PP) going into the season that can run both PNR and hit an open jumper. Nothing against Chauncey, TD, Bibby, BD, AC, Duhon, Nate, Sergio, Mardy, Roberson, House, Rautins, Moochie, Frank, Charlie, Childs, Eisley....actually F that! With apologies to Felton and Marbury, we haven't had solid point guards going into a season in a long ass time, let alone 3!

We haven't had a solid point guard in my lifetime. I was too young when Mark Jackson & Strickland were around. Cheeks & Harper were solid but aging vets. Same when we got Mark Jackson back during the JVG era. Marbury was a scorer in a pg's body. Never made his teammates better albeit his teammates weren't very good. Marbury instead of working on getting better pouted, became Towelbury and a cancer.

I like this move cause if he is as good as advertised we will have 2 young pt guards under the tutuleage of Kidd. Might as well maximize his value to the team.
