I don't know when all the fans lost their standards, but this is the worst big market team in all of sports, we have been cheering for year after year. Watching the old Knicks games on MSG who was as talented as Melo or Amare? The big fella was an all time great yes, but mason, starks, oakley these guys didn't bitch or complain, make excuses, tell you they are going to start playing hard and locking in they just did it. We have had 12 years of gutless players, diva's and drama. Until the Knicks actually accomplish anything other than assembling pieces that don't fit together, trading without a plan and trying to rebuild on the fly again, the experts are just doing there job. The Knicks have no heart, they are a bunch of fake tough guys that allowed Lebron to drive to the basket without every sending him a message.

So until the Knicks accomplish something let's hope the bashing continues and let's hope the guys we brought in care enough to do something about it.

agreed 100%

When the Knicks win a playoff series people will care. When they knock off a real team like Mia, Chi, Bos, NJ (if they get Dwight), even ATL... the bashing will stop.

Frank Williams shoving Jason Kidd and actually playing hard was the only highlight from that whole era (as in the last 12 years...)

Guys on Espn right now sayimg Knicks got older not better. Unbelievable. No one is pointing out that without the birds rights case the Knicks could only resign Lin. No comment on the heat offer for camby. The Knicks had to have a lot of luck and some very creative gm moves to get to where they are.

I heard Marc Malusis & Kim Jones this morning and they were gushing over the Nets saying they had a much more complete team then the Knicks and it wasn't even close, The said the Nets would be the number 2 team in the East and Knicks would be 4-5 seed. Funny last time I checked Knicks should now have the best bench in NBA and as far as our starting lineup they haven't gotten a chance to really play together so how exactly are the Nets a more complete team when they have no bench and have not played one game together. It really sickens me how people always look at the Knicks and only look at the negative and don't look at any of the positives. Knicks didn't have their starting point guard , lost their starting shooting guard and best defender in the first game of the playoffs, lost Amare for 2 games and then he came back with one hand and lost their backup point guard in the fourth game vs Miami, how the hell can you judge a team with that many injuries to key players and say team and say they're not going anywhere!!

For clueless people to form opinions once they have the spotlight microphone whatever it is easier to Bash every Knicks move. Based on the past 11yrs chances are you will be right and to the audience actually know what the heck you are talking about. That goes for Kay, Stephen and all the clowns espn puts on their show to make bold baseless statements.

You may not agree with someone like Francessa but he is never out stirring up conversation by being loud & boisterous. He doesn't have to. #1 leader in sportstalk in the nation for 25yrs. ESPN keep trying...

I love it, use it for our fuel, we still need to fill out our roster with the right pieces.

The only time the analyst liked the Knicks, was exactly RIGHT AFTER the trade for Melo.

I still remember Barkley, Smith, Ernie, and the rest were drawing up 3v3 (because they don't have that many analyst so they discount the other 4 players) plays explaining how impossible it would be to defend both players, leaving other guys open for shots.

How Melo and Amare would make things much easier for one another.

Then the bashing began and how Denver got much better, why they persisted to include MoSGoV, and Barkley continued to step on the KNicks....

The Knicks have been so bad for so long and the last 2 years have been disappointments due to injury, chemistry issues, coaching changes, etc. This is why it's easier for talking heads to just keep saying "Knicks will be bad". No thought goes into reporting anymore. Even guys like Howard Beck who is a great writer **** on the Knicks every chance they get. He was tweeting jokes about how laughable it was that Knicks fans and the Knicks organization thought they had a real chance at Nash. Literally making jokes about a team he covers. As it turns out it was a Kobe conversation away from happening. I wonder if it did go down would he have the merit to say he was wrong? I think he just would've turned the script and said how old the Knicks got and how they show no faith in Lin. Same with the knee jerk reactions to the Nets moves. After Joe Johnson everyone said it killed the D12 chances. It's all knee jerk reactions. Reporters and journalists are down right lazy. It's a product of how fast news moves now.

I want someone to take the time and break down the roster of every Eastern Conference Team and tell me the Knicks on paper don't look like a top 3 seed. I realize a lot will depend on STAT and Lin, but they are certainly deeper than the Nets, even if they land Howard.

exactly stephen a, michael kay, barkley were ready to give up whatever Denver wanted for Melo. Most fans wanted to hold onto some of the assets. As soon as Melo becomes a Knick the Knicks gave up too much and have no depth etc. Unbelievable!

I'd put em 3rd too Can't put em ahead of the Celtics just yet who should be better with the guys they drafted and Terry vs an often injured Ray Allen. Obviously Can't put them ahead of the Heat. Nets unless they get Howard will be battling Chicago & Indy. Wizards, Bucks, Philly will battle to get in the playoffs

Exactly right. We get bashed because we haven't done sh!t. Nets getting some undue worship but that will change after their first three game losing streak - Welcom to New York swampthings. The other three teams have all shown they CAN win at the highest level. You want respect - go out their and earn it the old fashioned way. And till you do, quit whining.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

It just sux thats all. We basically need everything to go are way to win.No margin for error.Lin has to be an All Star, Amare has to be pre Carmelo Amare,Carmelo has to give maxium effort on both ends,Shumpert needs to come back healthy,Camby has to be ready for playoffs,Kidd has to turn back the clock

Haha I know. If we were the ones that got Allen and Lewis and Miami got Camby and Kidd we'd be getting ripped apart with Miami getting praised.

To be clear, Ray can still play but is coming off surgery and Lewis has been washed up for several seasons already.

Thats true the Knicks got ripped for getting Camby but the funny thing is if Miami got him Riley would be a miracle worker
