A good guy, was once a solid defender and tied for most 3s in a game by a Knick. That said I won't miss those cross court passes to the other team. PEACE OUT TD!!!

You think his confidnce is bad now, how would you feel if a team paid some one to take you off there roster..

He got completely ignored on a team that was pass desperate for a pg..

If he makes a comeback it might be a bigger story then Lin

If anything he was overrated at first. For playing great D - whatever that meant. The only positive I ever saw in his game was that he tried very hard. But effort doesn't make an NBA player. I am not sorry to see him go to a different team. People here trash Fields routinely and the guy is a 100x better player than TD.

Nice guy. Below average NBA basketball player.

Please leave your jersey with the equipment manager.

It was real, Toney D.

OK, now we can take #23 off the trash can and give Camby his number back.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I liked Douglas. He was a good player for us. He had a nightmare year last year but he will come back and be a useful player for Houston.

Cheers Toney, all the best. If he gets healthy and isn't asked to play out of position as pg, he might do OK. Good luck to him. Always gave 100%.

Seemed like a good guy but awful basketball player, I wish him well, but happy he's gone.

I agree with you about Fields, but anyway, I thought Toney Douglas was decent. I could see him being a solid backup. I'm not sad to see him go, but let's not act like Houston took three scrubs. They took two decent players and one scrub (Jordan).

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Jorts is decent, Douglas and Jordan suck and Douglas especially will be out of the league soon.

A shame how TD's game completely abandoned him last season, just when we really needed him. Before that he was a pretty good bench player for us. He had to go because mentally he was fried here. Now he gets a fresh start in a less hostile environment. I think he'll have a good year.

i'll probably catch alot of flak for this but... i still think TD is a pretty good player, his confidence was obviously shot last year and who knows how much that shoulder-injury really hampered his shooting. i think a change of scenery will do him well and i can see alot of people on this forum questioning why we gave him up about 2 years from now.

I agree, but the one thing about Toney is he might be, like Iman Shumpert, injury prone.

I loved how Toney always fought over screens, but he always hurt his shoulder doing it. Some guys are tough and have good genes, and other guys don't.

I think Toney might be the latter- and I'm worried Iman might be in that group as well!

I knew he was suspect when every single highlight i saw of him after we drafted him, showed no pg skills whatsoever..Not one single assits..the guy couldn't run a PnR if his life depended on it..

Toney did have some good moments with the pick n roll in 10-11...occasionally with turiaf lol. He just could never turn the corner with his poor first step, his handle wasn't smoothe at all, his shot was streaky because it didn't always have arc, and the thing that kills me the most is his daydreaming on defense. He would literally give up 20-30 points on some nights just because he wasn't attentive when he wasn't guarding the ball. He got beat back door and around screens way too often. He also went for EVERY steal attempt possible and got burned 90% of the time. That broke down our d all the time. But he did physically play his ass off and get constantly blindsided by screens that weren't called out. It's no wonder he's got shoulder problems. Thanks Amare!

True, but that is a top 5 PG, and I wouldn't say "exposed". Teams picked on him long before that. But he generally was very good defending the ball handler, which made me wanna break my tv when he couldn't just play sound smart defense.
