I still think he is worth more than Novak, now we have lots of roster spots to fill. Wonder if we can still S&T for Kidd. Would have loved Lee in there though.

Marcus Camby's third year of his new Knicks deal is not guaranteed, but the first two years are paying $10 million, source tells Y! Sports.

Keep in mind a S/T must be 3 years, so this makes it much better.

The Rockets will get the Knicks' second round picks in 2014 and 2015, source tells Y! The Knicks will pay Toney Douglas' salary in Houston.

Wait a minute...we gave up four players, 2 picks, and are paying Toney's salary all for Camby? Dolan's outdone himself this time.

Three players, right? And of them only Jorts is anything worthwhile. That said, I'll miss the guy, but Camby's a huge addition.

You're right; I thought Gadz was included. We gave up about three to four times as many assets as we should have. Camby may have 1 to 2 years of NBA play left and Jorts and Jordan could have fifteen.

I'll admit the draft picks sting, but that's flotsam that we parted with. This trade is a lay-up, and looks better when you consider his third year is not guaranteed and we still have Gadz's contract as a chip.

I don't think it was a force. We all know TD has negative value.

Overpaid for Camby.

Camby averaged nine boards a block and a half in about 23 minutes last season. With Chandler and Camby inside, our defense and rebounding will be very good.

I don't worry about Douglas, but including both Jordan and Jorts? Two 2nd rounders and paying for Douglas? How much will Camby make? It seems a lil too much.

Do we owe Houston something? They always take us to the cleaners in trades. The deal is already lopsided when you think of the players moved. Add the picks and we just got fooled again.

Guess we had to overpay to get Camby, lots of suitors. Provided Camby can stay healthy, we now have a bunch of big men who can defend the paint. If Howard goes to the Nets he'll now have two big men on this squad who can give him problems, and more trouble for Chris Bosh and Kevin Garnett.

There is also the added benefit that we kept Camby from going to a rival team.

omg...would u guys stop...harrelson SUCKS...lol...same with jjordan...i bet u both are out the league b4 camby retires...this is a great trade..and we still keep gadzurics 2mil which can be traded

say what u want about the knicks front office...but we just improved our personel...our bench - kidd, jr, camby, jj, novak...were DEEP

now lets get a SG!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

The only loss for us was Jorts, and even that doesn't sting too bad. Second rounders amount to D-leaguers and Jordan was nothing at this point. TD was addition by subtraction, so IMO we made out like bandits here, especially since the third year isn't guaranteed. We just scored the best backup 5 in the league who can shoot from outside and rebound like a mofo. GREAT TRADE!

We got Camby for 4 mil a year....Camby still can play at a very active level.

Jorts broke his hand...he's not healthy. I will miss Jerome Jordan because I think he could actually play....it could come back to haunt us....but the Knicks are playing for now...we are going all ****ing in!

Respect it and move on....can't wait to see what's next

dude, they are 2nd rounders.

jorts is the worst part to lose.

this isn't a terrible deal at all.

JR isn't a sure thing yet. If we can add Foye (spelling?) to this team and can get lucky with a few youngsters in summer league, then this offseason will be a huge success.

I don't worry much about what we lost in terms of talent, but thought we could get this done without throwing so many assets.

"Sup Hartford?"

Marcus Camby alongside Tyson Chandler gives Mike Woodson the flexibility to go big. He is a rebounding machine who also happens to average 2 assists per game. Can you say better ball movement?

Toney Douglas will not be missed. Camby gets his uniform digit (23) with no hassle.

Harrelson was fun, but this is business.

Huge addition.

The only part I care about losing is Jorts. The problem I have with jorts is that after the wrist surgery he was never the same. When Amare does his Defensive vanishing act we can replace him with Camby and lockdown the paint.

I know but as I said previously, as a capped out team we need to keep assets and I think we gave up a lot of them here. But I know the benefits will be greater and if we can get our SG after the moves we have made, well be fine. Just worry this move will hurt us getting Foye or any other solid SG.

Or maybe...the combined powers of two DPOYs can instill into Amare a new sense of defensive purpose and finally...nah, your idea makes more sense.

Another bad trade. Love Camby but at what price? Does TD count against their cap or ours at this point? Why couldn't we keep Jorts? And why couldn't we get a pick back instead of shipping out two seconds? UGH
