6.96 X 150%= 10.44

Is it really a big deal turning down 2 mill to go to a winning team?

Side note. If the Knicks can do that for Nash couldn't they do the same for Dragic or Lowery? I might would even do that for Ersan.

Yes. Option will still be available if Nash isn't interested. But I think Nash is their top priority so they're trying to use sign and trade on him.

I get that but I'm saying why not focus on getting a younger PG with Potential? I understand that Nash is the proven commodity but...

Lin is our younger pg with potential. If we could aquire Nash this way then we could use the Mle on a starting sg. Then we would have
pg: nash, lin
Sg: insert free agent here, shump jr
sf:melo, novak
Pf: amare, novak, jort
C: tyson

Because Nash still played at an MVP level last year and we need to win now with this roster. Plus, Lin is easily as good as Dragic. Why not have one of the great PGs tutor an up and coming star on how to be great?

I agree Dragic is a nice player but he is overrated by many> i mean in understabd people get mad when lin gets a lot of hype but now the dragic hype is getting ridiculous. We are in a win now mode. If we get nash without giving up shump and shump comes back healthy then all of a sudden we can compete with the heat

Miami won a title Starphucking. It's which stars you have the ability to starphuck with. I still think Nash is too good to be true, but with him on the team you have one of the most selfless talented PGs in the history of the game still playing at a high level. This is a move that has to be made if its available.

I don't think it's a starphuck. I think it's a team-building thing. Nash is a pure teammate.

Guys worrying about the defensive impact - once Shump is healthy you put Shump on the best athlete in the other team's backcourt and Nash on the other guy. Tyson in the middle cuts down a lot of problems, too.

Much as I think Lin isn't ready, I would like to see the kid develop...NO defense at the position..I guess we make this move but these moves never work for us...

With the pieces we have already Nash would be perfect short term and long term for us. PG is not the spot that we need lockdown D against the Heat. That would be SG and SF. We have Shump but we do not have a defender at the 3. Two seasons ago we tied season series with Heat and a big part of that was Shawne Williams. Out of our 3 needs(backup PG, starting SG and backup PF) none really address defending LeBron. Which I think would be needed in a series against the Heat.

there isn't one single bad thing about signing steve nash. not one. if anyone can make the melo/amear thing work, it's nash. and he is still a great shooter and passer. defense sucks, but oh well, shumpert will be the one guarding the top guy in backcourts anyways.
