i think it's more important for this team to re-sign jared jeffries than steve novak. novak is pretty easy to replace. jeffries is 6'11" and can defend everyone from KG to Rondo. you can't replace that around the league very easily.

Ken Berger ‏@KBergCBS

In addition to Nets, the Celtics, Pacers and Suns are in the mix for unrestricted free agent O.J. Mayo, league source says.

Means nothing. Look how many teams are in the mix for Jared Jeffries.

jared jeffries is another player that vocal posters here dislike but for some reason smart nba teams think is good. weird.

Smart NBA teams like the Wizards and the Bobcats?

@KBergCBS
While we're on the topic, league sources say free-agent PG Goran Dragic also is looking for a deal that starts in the $10M range.

Chris Broussard
Situation btwn Dwight Howard & Magic getting ugly. Howard feels Magic made him promises they didn't keep to get him to sign opt-in.
Sources tell @RicBucher Players Assn is considering taking legal action against the Magic on Dwight's behalf.

This is ridiculous. He should've never opted in.

NBC Sports reporting that Nash has been offered 12 mil annually from the Raptors. Also reporting that Pacers are giving Hibbert a max deal.

Their GM is terrible and everyone saw it coming- he had to over pay him rather than admit that trade for him was a huge mistake.

Anytime you can give a 30 year old player whose game revolves around his athleticism and whose number have fallen each of the last two years $10M/year for 4 years, well...

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

It is probably a bad deal but you really have to wait to see how it is structured to judge but that does seem high. I wonder if they just signed him to have an asset to trade.

It looks like they are going to let Humphries walk. Humphries is really good. I think they will regret losing him.

sam_amick Indiana did not offer a max deal, and Hibbert is now leaning to Blazers unless Pacers match. One other unnamed team offered max.

Portland Trail Blazers restricted free agent forward, Nicolas Batum, has been contacted by the Minnesota Timberwolves and what is being called a "serious offer" has been made and discussed and the two sides will meet in Minnesota later today to deliberate on it further, according to a source very close to the situation.

The detailed figures that are being mulled over is a four-year, $45-50 million deal.
