Best case scenario for this kid is Brad Miller, who was also undrafted. I wouldn't mind taking a chance on the kid. But I wouldn't want to waste a roster spot if Jerome Jordan is still going to be on the squad next year.

He's longer than Harrelson with more post moves and a pure shot. He's taller with longer arms and looks more mobile. Harrelson is undersized

yeah man, I thought about it, this guy does have a great form, and you are correct with everything you said.
We can never have enough shooters, especially when they have other skills.
He does have good size, post moves, much more agility than Jorts, and a great form to that wet shot.
I thought he might be available, falling out of the draft, with only 1 site in all the mock drafts I have been looking at.
But he is a steal in the 2nd round, regardless, not worth taking that risk with this guy's potential.

a breed of

Kaman, Jorts, Okur, and Ryan Anderson

Still need to cut down on roster spots, making a choice between, Jorts and Jordan.
Knicks spend so much % on Jordan's buyout and I want to watch Jorts succeed in NY, that is why I was unsure of this kid.
But I cannot deny his skills, potential, and his great form/wet shot, with his size/skills/ and agility.

I'm okay with this guy if he last that long. I mean heck it is pick 48. Gut feeling is Scott Machado but the Knicks never take the guy we target especially a local kid

Kevin Martin/Novak

Wouldn't use our pick on him but would be another shooter to play Novak's role if we are unable to keep him.
I guess add him to the list of players that might go off the board and not drafted.

Another player probably not going to be drafted.
If we lose Fields as Lin's BFF, probably good play SG better than Fields.

Briggs, I really hoped we could have taken Justin Hamilton, many teams were trading picks for nothing.
We could have used a future 2nd rounder in this deep draft for a player of this caliber.
You could NEVER use enough shooters, especially when they have another skill set, he does have good size, athleticism, and great form.
Instead he goes to Miami, the worse possible scenario for us. They get a player that can just develop on their bench the next 2 years.
And can play backup C, and let Bosh play PF, while spreading the floor as the 5th option, and he is a deadly shot

I would have been happy if we were to got 3 players out of the draft, this is just a few players that could contribute, and develop with our squad that fills a hole/need.

DJO
Scott Machado
Tu Holloway

Hollis Robinson
Alex Young
William Buford

John Shurna
Tony Mitchel
Kevin Jones

Justin Hamilton
Henry Sims

Briggs, you have a very good eye for talent, would like to hear some your thoughts.

1) which players do you think we should let go on our roster?
2) which players should we target in FA?
3) Which undrafted players do you feel could be steals?
4) Which positions do we have to upgrade?

Well I wouldve taken DJO with what was there--what exactly is my downside? What Grunwald said--no one could make the rotation --who cares--its a 2nd round pick--why not give the most athletic kid in the draft a chance? La did.

yeah, i cannot see how anyone can disagree at our pick.
That was why I was so upset, with all the holes we have, and JR Smith not a lock to return.
He is such a low risk/ high reward player.
With his combine results and Iman being out, its really a no brainer...

I really thought it was a lock, I saw Justin Hamilton gone but with DJO still on the board, I would have been content.

Anyone else that didn't get drafted you think can fit and help this team much?
I still like a couple of players above, not nearly as much as DJO, but what can we do....
