What drugs are you on. Lee players no defense at all!!!! At least Amare can get a block here and there. Lee is not a better player the Amare in anyway other than rebounding.

They are both horrible but for this team, David Lee is the better defender.
If Tyson Chandler was not here, Amare is playing Center, then Amare vs Lee, Amare would be the better defender.

But that would mean our defense sucks so much either way...
You have to admit that Lee would fit in this team much better, because he has more skills than Amare.
He has no ego issues and doesn't need to be an alpha, capable of playing with and off Melo.

Lee is definitely a less horrible defensive player than Amare was. Lee at least played hard and attempted to get in the path of offensive players. Amare usually tries to get out of the way.

I believe you need at lease two Star players to win it all. Lee does not fit the category. Amare and Melo don't well but if they want it to work it can.

Amare can only do one thing, DUNK.
How can Lee not be more skilled?
Lee is much more skilled in Amare in every way.
His ability to penetrate, handle the ball, post up, mid post, shooting the ball, passing the ball, setting picks, FINISH with both hands very well, and he moves well off the ball.
His understanding of the game and BB IQ is much greater than Amare's.

Defense does not necessarily mean steals, blocks, and rebounds, look at Jared Jeffries, he does none of those things consistently, yet he is a good defender.
Lee stays in front of his man and Amare get's blown coverage.

Our 2 stars are fake and they don't maximize each other's production.
Having a team that fits each other and compliments each other is much more important.
Again, playing the Center spot, I give the edge to Amare.
But Tyson Chandler is here, we are talking about who fits here in New York now, its not even close.

This is a false statement! I saw with my own eyes Lee looking and players go by him. He did not try hard on the defensive end of the court and Knicks fans always tried to give him credit for that.

Both Lee and Amare suck ass defensively. Only edge to Amare is weak side shot blocking, which he's doing less and less now. Lee has the obvious edge in boarding.

Lee would be the perfect compliment to tyson. Helps him on the board very good perimeter shooter to space floor. Can score from either side of the court w/both hands and tyson takes away hus diffieciency to stay in front of huz man. Amare is a better weak side ****blocker. Whoopie! How many weakside blocks do we see in a week 2? Amade had only 2 all yr it seems. Wait didnt we have David Lee and got rid of him for this guy Amare

who cares about his help DEF, when he cannot guard his own man at all.
Sure Amare does get more blocks but that is only one aspect of defense.
David Lee stays in front of his man and does many things better that fits him at PF.
David Lee has yet to play with a legit center to support him yet.
I don't think Tyson Chandler needs Lee though, think Lee needs a legit center more.
The best center Lee has played with, was Edoh, and he barely played with him, not sure how Bogut will fit in with Lee.

Amare was brought in to play PF/C, something Lee cannot do.
Lee can play PF with legit guard skills, allowing him to play point forward, and he actually posts up.
His ability to penetrate and finish with both hands and rebound are the 2 strongest parts about Lee's game.
However, STAT was unable to adapt after Melo came, as he was not featured as the alpha dog.
Then Tyson Chandler comes and he is unable to fit in as PF.

Comparing STAT with Lee at Center, Stat wins....
But anything else, especially with this lineup now, Lee FITS.

NBADraft.net has us picking William Buford from Ohio State.

I like Buford, he kind of reminds me of Arron Afflalo. I don't think he'll be a star, but I think he's he'll be a contributor. Calbert Cheaney is my worst case scenario for him.
