I can be wrong because I don't know Amar'e personally or who he surrounds himself with, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was in fact a PR or publicist who told him to apologize. I mean come on..he had time to think about it? That was a **** load of time. Everyone is different but when I deliver an insult of that magnitude, I usually regret it almost instantly and it doesn't take me longer than 45 minutes to issue an apology.

Agree, someone in his camp probably told him to DM the dude the apology for some damage control.

He is attending the University of Miami for summer classes - is it really a big deal that he went to a Heat playoff game? Its not like he was supporting Miami. I am glad he was watching basketball and is interested in the game even in the off season for him.

Yeah - I didnt catch the popcorn bucket until after my post. He probably needs to use his head a little more - he isn't stupid, but these are some bonehead moves.

I am still more offended by the gear he was rocking, he looks foolish, but I get that people don't like that he was at the game.

Amar'e is working out twice a day, working on his post game and cardio- his focus is already on preparing for next season, while most basketball players are resting at this point in the offseason. He is pissed and is getting ready for next season.

Like I said on the other thread, some fans seem to think they can post any abuse on twitter to any player. There's a big difference between arguing about a player on a message board, and then actually going and sending that abuse to them. Plus its cowardly- this clown insulted Amar'e, (which he'd never dare do to his face), then when Amar'e insulted him back, he went crying to the media to tell on him. I just think it's lame.
