I say no to nash. Lin starts and get Kidd or other capable back up.Time to start growing our own instead of bringing in the tired.
If there is a thought to play Nash and Lin together Im ok with that.
I like Nash, but lets be real.
MDA is gone. A little late eh?
Ray, Oh Dumb, Nash........
Don't you guys ever learn?
Look who was just in the finals? Not boston and not SAS.
It was younger guys!
Maybe we get creative with our money instead of getting older guys.
Im not saying not to get one, but I don't want Nash and Ray Allen starting.
I agree with Nalod, I love Nash, but I don't think we have the right players to fit what Nash does with our lack of ball movement and IQ in our starting lineup.
Nash would also be a huge liability on the defensive end with Lin together, vs Kidd can use his strength to defend SGs if paired together and Kidd would cost much less.
Wow, this is great news for us. However, we still have to be under the 68m after signing Lin and/or Novak, see if JR returns for his contract or looks to opt out for a 20% raise, this would most likely mean the end for Fields if he cannot be signed for 1m or so. Every million makes a huge difference, even with the contracts of Jorts and Jerome Jordon.
If we are over the tax bracket, we not only lose the MLE for the mini MLE at 3m, but we also lose the LLE as well.
I think using part of the MLE for players that fall out of the draft would be great cheap options to build yoots with.
Great news for us Knick fans....
And I am not sure if Lin's and his agent, would like be open to the idea of a player that is capable of taking his starting spot (with Dragic, Nash, Felton, Miller) vs a veteran that will back up. But if Lin wants to stay in New York, he now has the opportunity to make a decent contract, with player options likely....
