lol i dont know where to start with all the hilarious inaccuracies in this thread.

i will say however thay the guys name is Varela. And Uruguay beat Brazil twice in a row and anyone who does thay deserves to be second in the world.

The games have been very good so far.

Germany looks good and Spain showed that they are still the champs that need to be knocked down.

Today is an exciting day as we will see if the host country can be a Cinderella and also if England can win a game they should win.

Soccer is similar to basketball in its movements off the ball and also it's need for teamwork in order for a team to be successful. Obviously there are many differences too.

A simple mind cannot understand the combination of skill, athleticism and intelligence that the game requires. The game is quick and requires absolute precision. Often those who cannot understand, condemn. No problem, American Football needs fans too.

awesome stat of the year. Mario Gomez has been in posession of the ball for 21 seconds so far in the European Championships.

That's 7 seconds a goal if you're counting.

No, that was a great game between England and Sweden.

Is there some reason this isn't in the off-topic forum? Like stickied underneath the Met's thread?

Euro CUp has been dreadful the last 2 games. No non penalty shot goals in over 300 minutes and the World wonders why the US hates soccer

So the rest of the world loves soccer but we are too good for it? Refereeing is awful in every sport look at our very own nba. Not getting into baseball & football. Remember the officials try to hand green bay the game over the giants?
