What a novel concept. I swear, the moment a player comes to NY, we don't want him anymore and want to trade him for below his value. We are not getting good value for Amar'e, so let's just keep him. Amar'e + Melo + Tyson + Lin is our best option at making a playoff run, let's just go with the hand we have.

I don't think we can trade Amare either but nor am I happy with a guy making $20M to put up 18 pts - 8 rebounds a game. I criticize Melo for not playing to his contract expectations and I criticize Amare just the same. In the NBA because of the salary cap you have to make every payroll dollar count. Currently 60% of our cap is tied up on two players who clearly are not able to justify that value. This is why you keep seeing trade proposals.

I wondered if NO would do a Okafur and Arzia for Stat trade.

That would help fill out the bench nicely. Sign Odom to start

That team could go all in on getting it's offense out of Melo/Lin/JR

Lin/Shumps
TR/JR
Melo/Fields or JJ2
Odom/Novack or JJ2
Chandler/Ok4
