#2 Kendall Marshall---just started to show what he is and what he is capable of late in the season with great size at the PG.
#3 Andre Drummond--He's not the best player at 3 now--but I saw what he can do and that is more than anyone else who is left by far--in fact I think this is the tier one end
#4 Austin Rivers--Duke relied on him too much and played him heavy minutes for a freshmen. Nevertheless an NBA team needs to transition him to full time point--he has pedigree and genes--and 6-4 PGs dont fall out of trees.
#5 Jeremy Lamb--just touching his potential when he gets stronger and shot becomes softer--watch out. Not a star but all star caliber.
#6 Moe Harkless--for as much hype as MKG and Harrison Barnes get--this is the best SF prospect in the draft
#7 Royce White--legit triple threat with great body enormous hands and great handle for his size(his mental make up is a question)
#8 Thomas Robinson--strong athletic PF who has explosion at the rim--a bit undersized and it showed late in the season against better players.
#9 Fab Melo---simply when he played Syracuse did not lose. He's got some red flags starting with his head--but at a legit 7 260 with his defensive skills impossible to ignore in this weak class.
#10 Tyler Zeller--best combo C-PF in the draft--has great touch could use 5-10 more pds of muscle but legit top 10 in a weak draft.

I don't even think half of those players will go in the top 10 !?

I like Darius Odom and Kevin Jones as top 15-20 players and they are either not on draft 60 boards or 2nd round. It never works out the way you think. I know this is not how the draft will go--but this is how I would likely rate them in a general talent pool. If it was the Knicks--I really like Moe Harkless and Jeremy Lamb either one. Both have a chance to be all stars. I was watching Jeremy speak about his comparisons--but I think he is a combo of a young Allan Houston with a little Scottie pIppen mixed in. If I was picking top 5 for the Knicks I would go Davis Lamb Drummond Harkless Beal---we need either a C or a quality SG. There is no PG high enough--even Marshall who I would take that high since we have Lin. I would go need fit first.

Davis is still pretty raw but I do like him.

Drummond doesn't have good touch around the basket and has awful shot selection. Plus he's top heavy with stiff hips.

Rivers isn't a true point but he could be a Stephen Curry type.

Kidd Gilchrist is a great athlete but he doesn't have the handle or the shot to be a successful scorer. I'd say he's similar to a Trevor Ariza.

K Marshall has nice pg skills but not athletic enough and has very little scoring ability. I prefer true PG's but he might not be talented enough.

Teague might be the better PG overall. Lilard might just be a scoring guard off the bench.

Barnes has bust written all over him. He's not overly athletic and has a streaky shot, yet he likes to shoot A LOT.

Beal looks like he could be really solid. He actually reminds me quite a bit of Gary Neal but with more upside.

I like Thomas Robinson but he's kinda a tweener at the 3/4. Still, he has great footwork and quickness. One of my favorite players in this draft.

Jeremy Lamb is another exceptional athlete but I'm not sure he's skilled enough. And Doron is just a spot up shooter.

There's just way too much inconsistency. Too much bust potential this year.

Athetic ability is good to have for a PG but not overall necessary at 6-4. Look how well he played down the stretch--he started scoring the way he can--going 20-10 twice--got hurt and NC imploded. Take it from me---he will be a very good NBA PG. This guy is a true Mark Jackson part 2.

This means your all in with DJO Briggs if you think he is top 15 talent.

Guess I'm going to have to see how he does threw the workouts since you know your NCAA stuff better than most. Maybe he falls to 48.... could be the next Gilbert/Redd.

Thats what they said about Jeremy lin. I dont like Austin Rivers as a 2 guard--but he is a top 5 pick as a PG.

That might be what they said about Lin but there is a big difference between them and I. They get paid. But anyway like I have said I have seen him since he was in HS and I never thought pg. I see a competitor but not a pg. I see him more like a Monte Ellis or Ben Gordan.

I would love for the Knicks to have their pick. I hated the Mc Grady trade and my guess is that Houston gets a very good player. I believe the pick is 16 and I think there will be some good players available.

Could Johnson-Odom fill a defensive void?

Marquette guard Darius Johnson-Odom was the most impressive perimeter defender at the Brooklyn Nets' draft combine last Saturday. He was the loudest one, calling out pick-and-roll screens and back picks, and aggressively getting up on guys and causing turnovers. His play made the GMs and scouts in attendance look at each other in mutual agreement, and then make a note.

He brought that same intensity to his individual workout with the Knicks, who have the 48th pick in the draft and lost defensive ace Iman Shumpert to a knee injury during the playoffs.

While the 6-foot-5 Shumpert can guard multiple positions, Johnson-Odom's defense could come in handy mostly against point guards -- which is still a plus because of the widespread talent at that position in the NBA. As a senior, he held opposing players to about 30 percent shooting in isolation plays, according to Synergy Sports.

After taking part in 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 drills at the Knicks' training facility with several other draft prospects -- including Scott Machado and Miles Plumlee -- Johnson-Odom sat down with ESPNNewYork.com.

Q: What were you trying to prove out there today?

A: I know what the Knicks need, so I came in with a defensive mindset. With Iman being out, with Baron [Davis] being out, I know that they need somebody who can step up and play D. Everybody knows I can score the ball; that's the least of my worries. But I want to be a player that impacts the team on defense. That's going to be my main focus throughout these workouts. If that means me playing seven minutes in the league and guarding the best player, that's what I'm willing to do.

Q: What's your defensive approach on the court?

A: Always talking, communicating. ... I'm very physical, try to be aggressive on that end -- just try to make it hard on the offensive player. I use my athletic ability. I have a pretty decent wingspan, so I just try to use it as much as possible.

Q: Are there any defensive players in the NBA who you look up to?

A: Young players. Iman was one player that I thought changed the game for the Knicks with his height, his wingspan, his strength, his speed. He was just an incredible defender. He had a huge impact on the team. I haven't gotten to meet him, but hopefully soon.

Q: Anything on the offensive side you want to work on?

A: When I was talking to Allan Houston, a great guy, he said I can play in this league, but he wants me to work on not over-dribbling. I'm going to take that into consideration because he was a great player.

Q: Are you close with former Golden Eagles Steve Novak and Dwyane Wade?

A: I just saw Novak and we were out there kicking it around, so me and Novak are real close. I talk to Dwyane Wade every once in a while. Of course, I'm close with [Bulls forward] Jimmy Butler. We're a big family, man. We usually go back to school for camps and just hang out with each other, because we know we can get in the gym whenever we want. I'm glad to be an alumni of Marquette.

Q: As you watch the NBA playoffs, the highest level of basketball, what do you take away that may help your game?

A: There are a lot of young players in the playoffs, a lot of athletic players, so you see a lot of transition offense. You can't take bad shots; you've got to be patient on offense, take care of the ball. Defense, you're not getting any more easy shots, I'll tell you that. It's not the regular season any more. A lot of guys are making it tough on guys to even catch the ball. You can see how physical the play is, see how much guys really want it, getting into each other's faces. That's the type of player I like. I've been in battles, so I know what it feels to be playing in that type of moment.

Q: What do you enjoy off the court?

A: At the pro level, you don't really hang with your teammates as much, but I love hanging with my teammates. I'm always in the gym trying to work on my game. Movies. I'm a silly guy. I might take it very serious on the court, but off the court, man, I'm probably one of the most talkative, silliest guys you're going to meet. I'm always trying to make people laugh, so they can just try to enjoy their day. That's the type of person I am.

Apparently we worked DJO out already.

As in Kevin Love comparison lol That's who he kinda reminds me of. I could see Sullinger improving his body and the consistency of his long range J much like Love has. I'm not saying Sullinger is going to be as good Love, just that I seem some similarities.

I think Sullinger will have a solid but not a spectacular NBA career. He reminds me of how Corliss Williamson dominated the college game but then had a solid but not spectacular NBA career. He does a little bit of everything but I think most of his college success came from bullying kids have his size. In the NBA it wont pan out like that
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Not a great draft class but I think Brad Beal is top 5, Thomas Robinson is underrated and Kidd-Gilchrist is the hardest prospect to evaluate because we havent really seen him carry the offensive load yet.

Sullinger will be an interesting watch because hes a skill player. He's not Kevin Love but if he can keep his weight down--he will be a quality pro PF.

Give me the guy who understands "the right way to play" any day of the week. That's what Sullinger does. He's good. I don't think Sullinger has Love's motor but who does.

I also like Terrence Ross and Tyler Zeller

Briggs I hope you werent driving when you made this list. Beal will be a top 3 pick and be a 15-18 point guy and a winner in this league. He has the character and the work ethic to be great. My sleepers in this draft are Harkless, white, and taylor from Vandy.

He measured 6'9 at the combine and has range just didn't used it as much in college like Love. He actually showed more range in H.S. I am not saying he is love but he has some of the same skills.

What up King 1:) I'm sure you are doing well. I had Beal as high as 2 ---I didnt drop him in my top 10 but I know the talent.
