Lets Face it, Amare and Tyson are the only possible candidates for trades.

Lin, Shump, Melo, STAT & Tyson IMO will be a very high level starting 5. I think this group didn't have a great shOt to work together this year. Next year they'll have much more prep together and some experience playing this year. It won't be new or an experiment next year. Woody is solidly locked in and from Owner, GM, Coach and Players everyone will be on the same page!!! This is a key component that was missing this year. You just can't underestimate that level of harmony in an organization.

IMO we don't need to trade any of the starters! We just need to add to the mix and upgrade the bench. I think this time the team will live up to its full potential. It's up to Grunwald now and a little luck with the arbitration case.

You have started to sound like Rudy Guiliani -- Remember when Biden told him no matter what you ask the guy you get a noun a verb and 9/11, well no matter what people post you seem to come up with a verb a woody and 18-6.

It's the only thing that seems to quell the Linsanity crew...You included...RonRon want to make personnel moves off Linsanity...Seems like u guys needs to be reminded what happened after Linsanity time and time again...

I dont think he is trying to hold onto the Linsanity he is stating valid points. the 18-6 was great but all that matter is the playoffs. yes Melo had a great second half but once again his playoff record is putrid. So he was making a good point that the playoff record is what matters most

So you are saying it's reasonable to hold Melo accountable for Chandler being sick, Amare extended injuries, Lin's injury, Shump's injury, Jeffries injury and the team's overall playoff performance against the Heat??

I also don't agree with those being good points...

Well i wasn't really bashing melo or even talking about him because i know how you are about anybody you think is bashing him lol. What my point is about is the record. 18-6 was great it really puklled our season around but im more concerned about our playoff record. See i would have traded the 18-6 for a better record in the playoffs and if we were able to get the 8th seed we might still be playing right now.

big +1. If it doesn't work out we get crazy on the boards this time next year and move it around. But right now we back them.

I dont have anything against melo so why would i bash him? My point is that all that matter is what we do in the playoffs because as a diehard knicks fan i wnat this team to go deep like they did in the 90's. I mean what is wrong with that?

I don't see a trade as being something we should expect, tho I suppose anything is possible. I just want for once for us to go into a season without any major turnover, surprise moves or turmoil. I feel pretty good about the fact that there should be no more divisions or splits on the team. We know that Woody isn't going to be a problem for the players in particular Melo and that already is a great start to the next season.

What I think we need most is upgraded depth!!! Unless a trade is an upgrade why make the move? It appeared to me that STAT and Melo and Tyson were in fact able to play with each other so long as we got good PG play. That was really an up and down thing this year from the start of the year to the end. I would to see a full 82 of Lin with a legit backup and a solid 3rd string PG as well. That kind of depth at PG and a little more scoring off the bench. It's why I think getting Odom would be good for the team. He's a well rounded player with real experience. I'm positive he'd be motivated and helpful. Grunwald has to make great decisions, picking up good fits and making the most of the draft and any undrafted players or unsigned FA's that can help.

So now you don't bash Melo because you think I'll get upset??..That's interesting...I'm having a problem following your line of thinking tho...Who here wouldn't want a better playoff record???...Who here wouldn't prefer a better a playoff record than an in season record ...When I refer to our 18-6 mark, I refer to something this team can build upon...It doesn't mean I don't want to win in the playoffs if that is what you are referring to, confusing...Why even talk about the playoffs when it's not something you can truly assess given the number of injuries we had...Do you think it's something we can draw conclusions from like the Boston series last year???

What does a drawing the 8th seed conversation, have to do with anything we are talking about???

I dont have anything against melo so why would i bash him? My point is that all that matter is what we do in the playoffs because as a diehard knicks fan i wnat this team to go deep like they did in the 90's. I mean what is wrong with that?

Why tell me this?..Did I bring this up in a discussion with u??..Have I mention anything to you about Carmelo??..Why are u telling me all this??

You're a good fan just trying to have a friendly discussion tahts all

But you are insinuating stuff that I never said...U are replying to things that I never said..Was there a different conversation?

That wasn't my goal i was just stating my feelings on the knicks but i apologize if you felt offended in any way

I'm not offended just confused
Ya i mean i wasnt really talking about you just the topic at hand but sometimes it gets confusing on the boards no worries

You have started to sound like Rudy Guiliani -- Remember when Biden told him no matter what you ask the guy you get a noun a verb and 9/11, well no matter what people post you seem to come up with a verb a woody and 18-6.

You are talking about someone that posted that Lin single handedly got the Knicks into the playoffs just the other day.

I never said Lin, single brought the Knicks into the playoffs by himself.

With Linsanity, I am pointing out the how we played with chemistry, with an identity with role players, and how our defense is much better

vs

how our "stars" play together, are unable to coexist, and how how defense drops.

Basically pointing out how our Big 3 do not work well together.

Good Point i mean 18-6 is great and all but i didnt like the the 1-4 our record was in the first round

it was against the Heat with Tyson with the flu, Shumpert blowing out his acl, Lin sitting on the sidelines, Jeffries playing injured..

Lets Face it, Amare and Tyson are the only possible candidates for trades.
