Love Chandler and his leadership. You need to respect what Dwight does though. Chandler winning DPoY is a tremendous achievement. I question if Chandler is the clear cut winner if Howard was healthy? I'm not looking to shop Chandler but if an offer comes in that involved Chandler and Howard, you better look at it hard before shooting it down. The question for me is whether the team is better off with Howard at at 18m or Chandler at 13.5M. Unless the deal is tremendously in our favor, I would suggest that Chandler is a better "deal". I don't think a Chandler/Melo for Howard/Turk gets it done. Chandler/Stat for Howard/Turk might work depending on the other moving parts. I'm not blown away by it, but Howard is the best player in that deal.
My guess is that Orlando would want to do a Howard/Turk/Q for Chandler/Stat. They may even want to sneak in Duhon to dump him contract.
This would be the cost of selling low on Stat. With that package, I am more inclined to give this team a full training camp together and see if they can come out swinging.
In my daydreams, I wonder whether Chandler and Howard could co-exist in the same front court. Defensively it could wreak havoc. Offensively, probably unsustainable. I would be eager to see a defensively primed team.
