Rangers starphuched and failed. It worked nice in 94' because we had a nice young core and added the pieces we needed. YOu could do it then. Rangers failed miserably for most of the last 18 years.

The hard cap hockey has makes starphucking much harder. They were forced to build thru the minor leagues. You can spend money there to develope players. You can use them to make trades. Its brilliant concept!

Thats why MSG is doing well with the Rangers.

true we've seen over the years that only the league and its rules can save dolan from dolan. I forgot all the starphuchs Pavel Bure, Lindros, Jagr,, Theo Fluery.. All over the hill stars under immense ny pressure who stunt the development of your youth.

ANd we had the Great Gretzky!

At the end of his career!

Messier was a great addition and it worked that year.

Brad Richards is that kind of leader for this group. It would be great to have another cup in the City.

Devils-Rangers series is intense. I hope Knicks-Nets have moments where they meet in the Semi's!

Real rivalries have real games with things on the line.

I agree. When I put the game on the Rangers were down 3-0 but they fought and played so hard. I can't believe they lost.

Any post mortem comments. All I can think of is henrik still has a lot to learn and should take from Brodeur. I mean the guy faced almost 40 shots tonight vs henrik's 25. Hopefully he grows from this experience. Fortunately the rangers have a lot of quality youngsters who should be better next year. It can hurt to gain some playoff experience. Especially when you are only 6 wins away from winning the cup

They are going to be a great team but to get there they have to learn to get more shots on goal. Jersey took it to them, even in the game NY won.

it was heartbreaking after the great year we had. The good thing is that we are young. Dubinsky i feel will have a bounce back year unless he is traded also kreider will be evn better. If we can get one more bigtime offensive player then we will be back next year and will get to the finals
