Has Woodson ever won anything in his career to prove he can win with or without a decimated backcourt and underachieving all-stars?

EC Semis twice with the Hawks notwithstanding?

Laugh to keep from crying, eh? Yea, if you aren't one of the half dozen coaches who've won a ring in the last 15 years, you must be crap, huh.

Would love to hear your pitch to Jackson still.

Your pitch for Woodson is Eastern Conference semis? Really? That's your pitch? Great pitch considering the only two times he was in the semifinals he was SWEPT. Yeah, great coaching acumen there. Nobody else can come close. I already named coaches I want besides Phil. Let's all bow to overrated Mike Woodson for his 18-6 record. I'll never hear the end of that. This will go down in Knicks lore just like the infamous 19 and 7 Eddy Curry season where everyone thought he was untradeable. I hate being right (well, okay, I don't sometimes) but the Knicks always make the same stupid decisions and make me look like a genius when I'm not.

I have been watching and rooting for the Knicks passionately for a long time. The last 3 2/3 seasons were the longest for me. I don't have a problem with Woodson being hired. The names others mentioned, JVG, Sloan, and Phil would be awesome. I really don't think any of those guys are taking the Knicks job. Maybe there is more class in the Knicks organization now and they aren't going to leak that they contacted other guys. I am sure an inquiry was made to Phil. I don't know about Sloan and I am almost positive that no inquiry was made to Jeff. The Knicks have shown patience this year, waiting to take the interim tag of Grunwald, not extending D'Ant because of an 8-1 run, and not signing Woodson despite his doing a remarkable job and overcoming 18-24 to get the Knicks to the playoffs. Phil was in rough shape his last season health wise. He left a much better team then he would be taking on. I don't see him coming back but I also don't see the Knicks not privately trying to at least gage his interest in their coaching job.

The only reason anything was 'tough' for you in the past few seasons was because of a guy you hate - Mike D'Antoni.

I don't hate Mike Woodson. I just think he's an average coach who isn't good enough to coach our team when we have bigger aspirations. We should be pursuing the best, plain and simple. Mike Woodson is not the best available coach after Phil Jackson.

LOL! Don't get so enraged. Be realistic. We don't have a say in this. We just like to make-believe we do. Dolan is the owner. Dolan is the boss. You know what a boss is, right? I bet people are still buying tickets making Dolan rich.

I don't hate D'Antoni. I thought his philosophy was extremely flawed and couldn't win. I felt every day he was in NY was another wasted one. I also thought he struggled with communication and managed more than coached which to me made no sense on a rebuilding team. There were lots of other things I didn't like but do you really think the KNick organization hasn't approached Phil?

Phil Jackson trying to get PAID.

I'm not even worried about Phil clashing with the players. They call him the Zen Master for a reason.

I'm worried about him clashing with MSG management.

I was not making a pitch *for* Woody, outside of being a devil's advocate for the idea that this Savior Mentality is lame. I asked you for your pitch *to* Jackson, meaning how would you lure him outside of money?

Jeanie Buss could be talking about their sex life for all I know. Just because dude has energy, you think *Dolan* could lure him here? Do you really think he'd come just because of a big check?

I honestly want to know why the hell Phil would come here. I can't see it, but hey, I'm sure I know just about as much as you do about the situation with "reports" and Twitter, unless you have his cell number...

Quit dreaming. There is nothing here in New York that Phil Jackson would bother coming out of retirement for.

I mean i know in reality Jackson aint coming but het its cool that people dream lol. I thin woodson is a real good coach for this team. cant blame him for the playoffs since we were depleted and facing the toughest team in the playoffs. I bet if we faced any other team we would be in the 2nd round injuries or not

I can think of $24 million reasons. But hey, he doesn't care about cheddah, right?

I'm sure they asked him. Fat and stupid as Jimmy may be, he's not THAT dumb.

If he's coming back and that is what they're offering, who is to say he won't just coach Lakers again? You know Kobe Bryant isn't going to retire anytime soon. He's got about 6 years left in him.

I can see Kobe playing until he's 40 before he calls it quit.

Thats true. i mean he has connections to the lakers since he is seeing the owners daughter. I mean i think some people want to belive that since he played for the championship knicks in the 70's he is gonna coach here. I mean it would be cool but im just trying to be realistic its not gonna happen

Jackson retired after that embarrassing sweep from the Mavericks but you seriously think he's going to go out like that? he's going to officially retire with a championship once and for all. And PJ's been known to leave a season for a year and then comes back strong the following year.

Lakers aren't all that thrill about Mike Woodson. It was a big mistake mistake to sign him up for 3 years.

I am enraged that we never contacted Phil Jackson
