Not sure that a player who was one of the top defensive players in the league and a very positive force in the team's chemistry on the court and off the court, deserves some of these comments or even this thread. Everyone know what you were getting with him offensively. He helped to coverup the defensive flaws of two very sporadic defenders who played alongside him on our frontline. People want to think that Woodson was some kind of defensive genius- fine- but without new additions Chandler & Shumpert (I'll include Lin, too, since he is a very underrated defender), and returning players like Fields and Jeffries, there is no defensive turnaround this year, Woodson or no Woodson.
On offense he is a player who needs a PG to set him up, and had little to do in our "system" without Lin/Davis/MDA in the picture, since the "system" was basically Anthony, Amare, or Smith going 1/1 in isolation.
Chandler's offensive success or failure depends on the kind of ball movement the team has going, so when his offensive numbers are down, you know its Iso-time for the Knicks.
